Some of your song titles are wrong, here's the corrected list (at least the ones I know): 00:00 Theme of Laura 03:24 Heaven's Night 05:29 Alone in the Town (I think) 09:57 Magdalene 11:07 Forest 12:51 A World of Madness 13:55 True 18:29 Promise (Reprise) 22:06 Fermata in Mistic Air 24:23 The Docks 25:11 Music Box 26:05 True (again lol) 29:12 Theme of Laura (Reprise) 31:04 Making Peace 34:20 Laura Plays the Piano 36:15 White Noiz 38:46 Pianissimo Epilogue 40:23 Overdose Delusion 44:55 White Noiz (again) 48:31 Forest (again) 50:15 Promise (Reprise) (again) 55:02 Promise 59:42 Laura Plays the Piano (again) 01:01:37 The Day of Night 01:04:50 Love Psalm 01:09:16 Null Moon (don't know about the rest, but I'm pretty sure some of them aren't from the game, like the last one which sounds like same kind of a cover/remake of Promise)
Ah I See, I was take it from here: www.silenthillmemories.net/music/sh2_osts_en.htm Thanks for your work and correction but you can find all the songs under this titles too :)
To be fair, theme of Laura reprise should be called Angela's hell, because the only time that song plays in the entire game, is on the burning staircase with Angela
I bought SH2 when it first came out (2001). I rushed through about half of the game, barely paying attention while surround by people during the day. It seemed interesting, but I sold it off shortly after. In 2008 I came across it again while in a local game store. I bought the game for a second time. I took it home and started playing it in the middle of the night, by myself with no distractions. I played every night, in the dark, alone for a few hours for about a week straight. When it was all done, I knew instantly I had just witnessed a masterpiece. Like any true work of art it is not perfect, however even the imperfections add to its beauty. I believe this game needs to be played just as you would read a classic novel. Alone, silent and fully immersed.
I get the joke but honestly never liked that they included that part in the game even tho it is optional. It's just way off and it doesn't fit with the rest of the game
Love this OST. But I admit, I didn't expect to see it compiled into a "relaxing" list, just because of its source material. It really works, and It's a lovely compilation as always. Thanks again, Lou.
This is the kind of music you listen to in silent heaven while looking out the window into the white, foggy streets, thinking about the loss of your wife.
This music keeps me very calm. I can’t believe how much of a calming effect it has over me. It’s one of my all time favorite games. I’m an avid gamer. Have been since the late 70’s with the home pong console, & the Atari 2600. I still keep up with current gen. I don’t pick preferences, I just play all the amazing games on whichever console they come out for. Yet still, this game holds a special place in my heart. Was a very good time in my life. I was about 22/23 yrs old? And I just got my first apartment. I had a ps2/GameCube/Xbox. And loved every minute of all that was going on. And I keep all my games and consoles. Have been doing so since the nes. Now I’m married, 43 yrs old, and have two sons of my own. That I share all these great games with. Enjoy your day to whomever reads this comment 😊
Geek speak Made chic dude you’re an old school type of guy , respect because that’s how I wanna be like when I grow up , I’m also a huge fan of the 70s and 80s even though I’m 2000s kid yet I long for the classical old days rather than the newer ones 😃 🙏
It was a traumatic experience just to get through this damn game. Even now when I wish to go back and revisit the story I forget how terrifying some of the areas were. The picture in the video represents the most unnerving moment in any video game I've ever played to this day (second only to PT). "I'm NOT your Mary...." "You were always so forgetful. Remember that time in the hotel? You said you took everything, but you forgot that videotape we made...I wonder if it's still there..."
Tyler Neal traumatic yes...When i was 12-13??? back then trying to wrap my mind around some of the parts on this game id turn it off after a while and be speechless and disturbed all night
Tyler Neal agreed , I've litterally played the game over 20 times 😂 on every difficulty but I can never seem to have enough of it ; it's just such a beautiful work of art
You're alive! Maria, I thought that thing killed you! Are you hurt bad? Not all silly. Maria? That thing! It stabbed you! There was blood everywere. Stabbed me? What do you mean? It chased us to the elevator! And... James. What are you talking about? JUST BEFORE! Don't you remember? James, honey? Did something happen to you? After we got separated in that long hallway? Are you confusing me with someone else? Ah, you were always so forgetful. Remember that time in the Hotel? Maria...? You said you took everything, but you've forgot that videotape we made. I wonder if it's still there... How do you know about that? Aren't you Maria?
The Japanese people have created such amazing art. There's not a culture on earth that has contributed more to gaming. That's not an opinion, it's a fact.
It's haunting, peaceful and beautiful all at the same time. Oddly some of the songs feel too upbeat to be found in a place like Silent Hill, but that just makes them even more eerie!
If you mean a faithful re-release of the first four games with 1080p resolution on ps4, then yes. If you mean a full on remake? No. The only team that could do that was Team Silent, and they've been disbanded for over ten years. You cannot, and I MEAN cannot remake a game like Silent Hill and expect it to match the same level of quality as the original. Just stop, please.
Kinda breaks my heart hearing these songs, man the music and the games 1 trough 4 were just the best, i'm forever gonna miss getting a new good silent hill game fuck konami
I got drunk and fell asleep in my chair in front of the computer listening to this. Apparently I set this video to 'loop' and passed out. I can think of a lot worse things to wake up to with a hangover.
this happened to me before, i was meditating while a little tipsy and i fell asleep and awoke to this playing from the speakers on my monitor, everything basically felt like a dream..
Amazing hypnotic music. This is my magic. There's so many modern "ambient" tunes that lost this magic and are just a production in the name of production. This is the REAL deal.
@@hugemetalfan6664 I bet it was, I've heard about the ending and it sounds wild it must've messed with people back in the day. I went back and tried to play it myself and I can't get into the controls, just something about it just feels dated unfortunately.
Best - 00:00 Theme of Silent Hill 2 - 03:24 Heaven's Night - 05:29 Pizza & Bowling - 31:04 Peace & Serenity - 34:20 Laura plays the Piano - 36:15 Mirrored Guilt - 38:46 Pianissimo Epilogue - 40:23 Leave Ending - 44:55 A Special Place - 01:01:37 Laura - 01:04:50 Wish Ending - 01:09:16 Mary's Twin
Yes, it does say that in the title, thanks. Just trying to thank the person who posted it. To appease the RU-vid commentators: "You've done some* of it for me."
I still remember when I first played this game, this game doesn’t have shiny horrors but it gives you the best (or should I say “worst”) chilling moments. The biggest chill through the spine I got in this game was in lake view hotel, when I went up the stairs just to end up being locked behind an iron curtain and as I were to go back down the stairs, a female voice, probably Mary’s, calls James. That was HORRIFYING I couldn’t move for a few moments
I'm no hipster lol I'm just a dorky gaming girl. I've played all the silent hill games and love all of the soundstracks. I find all the music chill-lax.
I wish that this game had like an true remaster but sadly it can't happen because Konami took the really bad pill of destroying every masterpiece ip they have 😡
I’ve never played a Silent Hill game but my first impression of this soundtrack is that it is on par with the soundtracks of Halo, Dark Souls, Skyrim, Fallout, and the GTA games. Phenomenal work that they did for this game.
It's like my own mother is staring back at me, during brief moments of lucidity. Like Sisyphus, only on the boulder was inscribed DEBT, RESPONSIBILITY, & Endless chores. It crushes me down, like the pull of gravity. Then I hoist it back up, to earn some serenity. In the Dark of the night I was tossing & turning & the Night-Mare, I had was as bad as could be. It scared me out of my wits, A corpse falling to bits. Then I Turned on the Dim Lamp's Light, stared at the reflection in the window's bright & the Nightmare was......Me. 💀 It was still so dark out. But Eye Could, See.
Came here because I realized I felt safer and freer in SH because of the lack of other people walking outside and in public buildings. I am less afraid to hit monsters with a rusty pipe then to deal with judgmental people and this is why I find SH music so relaxing. 😳 Glad to know I am not the only one who feels the music is relaxing!
There is a song between A special Place and Angela, that start at 47:01 and isnt listed. Does anyone know the name of the song? EDIT: Never mind, the track was played twice, and it was actually just Wishful Thinking.
John well it's all very interpretive. It's a mix of emotions expressed through sound that I dig in music. More appreciative of the brilliance of this soundtrack. I'm not really into the top 20 hits on radio stations right now.
So many years have passed. So many. And this game is one of THE best horror games of all time. Even to this day, the music is perfect for this setting it created. Calming, yet unnerving, almost like something was wrong but you weren't really sure how to explain it
Compared to the other music of the soundtrack it is, but generally speaking, not really haha I think it's because.. it's still got this weird sense of "something isn't right about this". Like this doesn't feel like genuinely happy music... it feels like it's trying to sound happy but covering something up. It's more melancholy and vaguely creepy than anything... still nice though! This is nice to listen to when it's raining in the fall or I'm in the car at night on the highway.
It's not relaxing in the slightest, because it ultimately brings up themes from the game in your mind. Themes of murder, sexual desires, molestetation, guilt and depression!
Forever my favorite horror game, I didn't feel the message until I went all in on the gameplay. The endings hit more than anything you could ever imagine.
I love this music so much :) It inspires me when I create my own music projects. I have the PS2 game and for the past 3 Halloween seasons, I go back to it :) Thank you Lou Says for taking the time to put these memorable tracks together :)
This game is the best horror game, mystery game, and best game for story telling ever created. Can some one give me a counter argument to that? If so... I would love to play "that" game since silent hill 2 was epic... Correction... IS epic! Now I'm sure everyone can agree with me on this bullshit... www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-2/silent-hill-2 Metacritic gives the game a 8.9 out of 10... I think they were off by at least 5-7 points. I'm sure we can all agree on that...
i have all the OSTs why are these named so differently, i also don't have some of these and some of them sound not like the ones i got, whats going on lmao
Dj Delf I believe the officially released soundtracks differ slightly from in-game. But you can find various ripped versions online to get the full suite.
They'd be facing super human alien demons that are specifically designed around their sins and insecurities, the most powerful foe of anyone which is themself.
