Which was your first Zelda game? I was beyond hyped for this game before its release, I couldn't sleep I was so excited for it. Turned out to be my very least favorite Zelda game, and its still to this day very disappointing to me.

Hearing all these incredible songs again brings tears to my eyes. Twilight Princess was the first game I ever played. When I was little, I was at my best friends house and he dad was playing it on their Wii. After we watched him play for HOURS, I asked if I could play, so he handed me the controller. I picked up that controller, and I haven't put it down since. :) It's the first game I ever played, and it's always been my favorite. I don't know if its the story, the art, the music, all of it together makes this game perfect to me. I first beat it when I was 8, and my dad helped me with the boss battle, but we did it together. It's literally the first thing I can remember and even if it probably won't happen, it's always been my dream to move to Japan and work for Nintendo. These games have all changed my life for the better, and one day I want to be able to help create one that will change other peoples lives. :)

Technically if we’re following a Zelda timeline, the one that follows through the longest (up to BotW) is the Child Link timeline, which goes Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, then Breath of the Wild. So in a way (I guess??) Breath of the Wild is a sequel/timeline continuation.

TP is my all time favorite, it's such a melancholic and philosophical and eternal zelda game. You have the best partner in the world, with a relationship that almost becomes romantic. Imagine how lonely TP would be without midna, if it was link alone. Midna and Link together made the adventure so much more fun and cozy in a very lonely world.. you felt like you really had to win and survive, not for Hyrule but for them. But, why does no one ever mention Minish Cap? That zelda game is my 3rd favorite 😭 It has one of the best villains, namely vaati 😭

@@nellyballivin2263 Minish Cap is a DS game that generally speaking was poorly received because it has some of the longest side quests out of any Zelda game however... with that said, it has genuinely some of the most charming characters I have yet to encounter in ANY Zelda game to date. Twilight Princess is my favourite mainstream Zelda game but Minish Cap is my favourite handheld Zelda game to date in large part due to the sheer charm and engaging characters, both major and minor ones, there are in that game. So I highly recommend playing Minish Cap if you find yourself able to do so! ^^

Lake Hylia was my favourite place in the game to just relax. I never actually do this in a game, but in this one, I would travel to Lake Hylia just to listen to the soothing music and look at the calm lake at different times of the day.

YES! I did that exact thing. Just sit back and chill at Lake Hylia for the day or go to the Fishing Hole and just swim around and fish and listen to the beautiful music and look at the gorgeous trees and watch the leaves gently fall around. Only game that I have ever done this in ever.

Yep, that winter was spent next to the fireplace, eating warm food and playing this game nonstop. One of my favorite memories. I really felt like I was embarking on an epic adventure and I’ll always cherish that. I’m really, really glad that this was my first Zelda game.

Courage, it will pass (or maybe it has already?). You have the right to be happy so please be happy. You may have or haven't done things you regret now, or maybe everything around you seems a mess, I don't know of course, but you are here now and I think what counts is what you choose now. There is alway good around us, and I believe the saddest and the worst people as well have to enjoy life. Sometime the worst situations that seem impossible to cross only need time to reveal they were in fact lessons or challenge that give us more strength or more compassion for the others :) It doesn't make sens to get "sad" for things that Were in the past, or things you can't do nothing about. We have to accept that, to accept us (we don't know why we are how we are, why our life is the way it is.) It doesn't depend on us). what we can do is only trying to give our best right now. If being sad doesn't allow you to do things that can make this world and your life better, it is just madness to maintain such a state of mind. So go on! Your life is waiting for you to live it fully now you may have understood some lessons or get a bit stronger through difficult moments.

Me and my uncle beat the game ALOT... I was 3 and 4 years old and I would always go to his house to play it.. he died when I was 7. The flow of time is unforgiving and cruel it seems, the best memories are those of your childhood. You must use portals even as simple as a complex game like this to be your key to your best times and use this to build yourself for the future. Edit: 3 years gone like a flash today marks 10 years of his passing ;( still some of my best memories are right here in the storyline of this game. Thank you game for giving me something to cherish as a memory. Edit: 6 years have gone since writing this message - unbelievable! As I look back to my childhood this was the game we played together, growing up and only after his passing, did I later get into Ocarina of Time. I’d like to think he left me that game to myself as a link to my childhood and growing up similar to the storyline. As if his presence is always there even as I grow older.

I played this game when I was 12, it was an escape in turbulent times. Now I am 24, life is great but I still get a sad feeling in my gut when I hear this music - nostalgia is a funny thing.

Crazy how nostalgia can make us wish for times past even when our current lives are brighter. Some music/games remind me of my times in middle/high school fondly, even though life now (about to graduate college) is better in most ways. Nostalgia is a very strange emotion, but I love experiencing it and reigniting memories I thought were long gone. It's the best thing to hear a noise, or smell a smell - and boom, all the sudden you are teleported 5, 10, or 15 years into your past.

Pour les Français , ce jeu c'est mon enfance , je suis très ému quand j'en parle , l'ambiance est mystérieuse , unique , légendaire et pas coloré comme maintenant. La map est incroyable et tout aussi mystérieuse , les personnages également et les musiques... Mélancolique et somptueuse. Ce jeu est une partie entière de ma vie et je n'ai pas honte de le dire... My favorite music : 0.16 , 12.36 and Pic snow and I love every music of this game.

It won't hit the majority of opinions but TP is still my favorite Zelda Game. It is the advanced Version of OoT I always wished for.

No other zelda game quite matches the formula of Twilight princess, it was so well crafted everything meshed together perfectly. the art style , the music, the dark themes can't be found in any other zelda game with the exception of oot. which is why they are my two favourite. It's a shame they took a different route when it came to these areas in botw. I hope to see botw 2 bring these back. and from the trailer it does certainly look like it will.

Playing it through for my first time and I'm already hooked The whole time I am always saying to myself "Where has this game been all my life?" Seriously awesome. Definitely the best first Zelda game you can play. After I beat it which should I play next? I own a Wii and a Wii U. Soon a 3Ds

@@the_21_blurry_faced_heathe16 I’m 2 years late but after TP, the next Zelda game I played through was actually A Link Between Worlds, quite a few years later. Then I played Ocarina of Time, then Majora’s Mask (both on the 3DS but the original versions are cool too). Then Breath of the Wild. I still need to finish a few others that I have started playing, but I think those first 5 are a really good order in which to play the series, especially with MM and BotW coming later since they deviate a lot from the standard Zelda formula. A Link Between Worlds could also probably be substituted for A Link to the Past if you prefer the old-school flavor of that game.

23:13 ah memories, when I heard this all I could remember was the shopkeepers cat that I use to chase around the village, that one monkey that enjoyed stealing cradles from people.. The Village of Odin had so many things that I loved to do, and the music and beautiful graphics made it even better. Each part of the world had a different sound track and that make the game so wonderful. I remember as a little kid I like running around for hours trying to smash pumpkins and get gems but I always got so scared when the guy on top of that rock that always loved taking naps yelled at me. Zelda was the first real video game that I ever played and I have loved growing up playing it. Listening to all the different song brought so many different memories and I’m not mad at it, I loved all the cool things that were in the game and all the crazy adventures I went on. This game is so beautiful and so many people are missing out, It’s so underrated..

After suffering a concussion from a year ago, my whole life has changed. This is really comforting to listen to and makes me forget about all the bad things that happened this year. Twilight Princess is a good game. I can't describe how it makes me feel exactly but it will always make me feel content. I enjoy this playlist very much. Edit: still enjoying this playlist. You say it as if it's inevitable to have one but almost all cases of a traumatic brain injury are preventable. I know you said it as a joke because of how horrible the past year has been. There are things in life we want to badly forget, and erase, but if we do, life would end up repeating the same mistakes. You can learn from your own mistakes. But you can learn more from other people's and history's mistakes if you know how to apply it. There's a lot of misplaced priorities, entitled advantages, and abused privileges in this world and you can see it when it's at the cost of millions of lives. Twilight Princess will always have a very special place in my heart-especially around Christmas. It's my favorite Zelda game. I remember eagerly waiting for Santa to deliver a Wii with this game when I was little. It was the year 2007 and I remember, after a long day at a piano recital, coming home to my dad playing TP on the Wii in the living room. My brothers and I immediately plopped in front of the tv to watch him play. We all took turns fighting mini-bosses and enemies, and sometimes two people would try to control Link (one control moving and the other control attacking). The room was filled with laughter and warmth. Those were simpler times.

@Isaac Schmitt I'm not going to speak for others, but for me it's simply that the novelty of it ended years ago. Instead of seeming futuristic and engaging, it just comes off as a hassle and an annoyance. That said, there's been some games that were so clever with their use of motion controls that they've stood the test of time; but the ones where they were tacked on as an after-thought just for the "wow" factor aren't included for me.

This game brought me and my family happiness. I Remember sitting down with my dad, shaking at the enemy goblins and fishing together trying to beat the game. Here I am now, glad that this game is apart of my childhood, and feeling nostalgia towards this game because of the music. Not just my favorite Zelda game, but also my favorite game ever. I got this as a gift on the Wii many years ago from my mother, she did not have a lot of money because she is an immigrant who did not have great education, and also my parents were going through a tough divorce when my birthday was around the corner, but my mother saved some extra cash to get me it because she thought I would like it since she saw me play Wii Sports & Mario Galaxy on the Wii a lot. When I inserted the disc the first time, I was so ready and excited. I play this game for hours upon hours. It really helped me escape from the bad stuff that was going on in my family’s life & it made me become a Zelda player. The following years, I picked up a copy of Skyward Sword, and played that for hours as well. TP will always have a special place in my heart, I hope it will come out to the Switch some day so the younger generation can experience this amazing, emotional adventure. Thank you mom for this amazing game, I love you.

This is and will always be my favorite game. It is the first game I ever played, me and my dad were the ones that played it the most, other family occasionally. All the music, gameplay, and story were so amazing to me. It will always have a place in my heart. I would love to sit down with my dad and play through this again just like good old times.

I really love this compilation, it really defines relaxing. A lot of people add Midna's Lament or some temple themes, because they're quiet sounding. I personally don't think those are really "relaxing", they're supposed to leave you feeling a little distressed. Thanks for this wonderful list!

this was by far the best zelda game ever. listening to this brings back all the memories, dammit im guna have to play it again. awesome vid bro

chris mate same, i havent played it in a while, brings back them really good memories. Some people now in days just got the game and playing it for the first time, i think its kinda weird, cause it was out between 2004 to 2009, not so sure what the year was, all i know is around there

ᗪєϻΩηKᎥภg64 I’m pretty sure it came out in 2006. I played the game when I was like 8 - 10 years old, so it was like 2008 - 2010 Gosh so much horror for my young self XD but it’s my favorite video game

@@johnnybravo8718 TP was my first zelda and I feel like that actually contributed to not making it enjoyable for me, tbh. Althought I don't think I'd have love it regardless. I beat Botw today;that game has some serious flaws, but I liked it significantly more than TP.

@@johnnybravo8718 it wasn't i played the n64 games and a few Gameboy games first, this was always my favourite have since played every Zelda and stick with Tp being the best just my opinion
