He also worked in the movie and television industry training big cats, elephants, primates, sea mammals and raptors. “One of my greatest childhood fantasies was the desire to create a personal friendship with a wild eagle. I found myself with a love and fascination for these powerful creatures.” Martin Tyner is a federally licensed falconer, eagle falconer, wildlife rehabilitator, wildlife propagator, and wildlife and environmental educator. He has been providing wildlife and environmental programs throughout the western United States, to schools, scouts and community groups for over fifty years. “Grandpa believed in a very simple philosophy; that a person should get up every morning and do good. Doing good means that you do well for others and doing well means that you do good for yourself. There is nothing wrong with doing well, but Grandpa always believed in doing good.” Martin's book, Healer of Angels, reflects back on his life: from a young boy terrified of birds to becoming the first man in North America licensed to train a wild golden eagle in the ancient art of falconry. It's always emotional watching the releases, This one was bittersweet, My thoughts & prayers to Brooks & his family. I believe Ivy was there in spirit flying along with this beautiful young eagle.

I can’t begin to to tell you how wonderful it was was to watch this video. It’s been a tough week and to be able to see that bird fly free in a blue sky was truly inspiring. It gave me a little hope for our poor wildlife. Thank you 🙏

What a beautiful release. I remember you rescuing this eagle Martin. You were hopeful but not sure it would survive. Look at him now! Soaring and free as God intended. I always shed some tears on these releases. This one was especially beautiful and meaningful with that wonderful family and their loss. I remember when you rescued that juvie especially since it was the day before what was my son's birthday, who died at the young age of 14 when he lost his cancer battle. This release was indeed heartfelt, especially with that family's story of the loss of their precious baby Ivy. The release itself was one of the most perfect ones I've seen yet, & combined with the beautiful soaring afterwards, was extra special to witness. Besides being able to practice in the short cage flights, this might only be the birds third or forth time flying, he's having a blast! TY MARTIN!!!!

When he took to flight so easily, and he soared around a couple times and then headed for the mountains in the distance, my heart soared with him! It really touched me. Thank you for saving him, and letting us see him return to freedom in the wild where he belongs.

I have seen a golden eagle only once , near malaga spain. Magnificent birds! I have also seen a white tailed eagle in Germany . Can't wait for new vids !

Prayers on the wings of an eagle for Ivy. A beautiful honor for Ivy, setting a 'baby' eagle free with prayers for a little newborn girl who couldn't stay with her family. Rest Ivy, and let the eagle fly for you. Beautiful thoughts and a wonderful release of this baby eagle who would not have made it without this help.

I’m touched every time I watch these videos. I live in NJ and my daughter and I watch out for raptors and see them in the air from time to time. We can hear them too but cannot tell what kind of raptors they are.
