Very interesting repertoire, I like the choice against the Catalan especially. Against 1.c4, I've been considering 1...e6, although White can delay d2-d4 and prevent the Catalan Bb4+ lines. I've been looking into some early dxc4 lines. Do you recommend 1...e6 against the English or prefer avoiding it since White can avoid the Bb4 lines there?
I personally never played 1...e6 , but it's definitely an option if you want to stick with similar repertoire. You are right , White can prevent Bb4 variation, but it' also opens up d5-d4 opportunity.
In the variation 1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.Bg5 dxc4 there is a line for White which I hate as Black: 5.e3 c5 6.Bxf6 Qxf6 7.d5 (this is also recommendation for White of Plichta in his chessable d4-course). Did you cover this variation?
