Many of us will suffer from back pain or sciatic pain at some point in our lives. Whether the pain is caused from tight hamstrings, tight gluteal (buttock muscles) or a stiff back, gentle Pilates exercises can help.
In these videos (Pilates Exercises for Back and Sciatic Pain; part 1 and part 2) I have put together exercises and stretches which should help all forms of muscular and postural related back pain and sciatic pain.
In whichever of these exercises and stretches you feel a good strong stretch and relief, those are the ones you should learn and practice regularly.
Without having you in my studio to diagnose, this form of self diagnosis is a good start.

Thank you, your teaching style is excellent. The room tends to make your voice echo a bit so I had to listen very carefully to hear what was said, but really appreciate what you have done here. Just a small thought, if you do any more in future, lighter coloured trousers would help us to see the positioning of your legs a bit easier, as when your legs cross in some positions It was not always easy to see what leg was where. Sorry if this sounds like criticism. You really did a superb lesson. I shall now go and attempt to try to emulate what you have taught me and hopefully relieve some of the pain. Best wishes. Adrian
