Relieve neck and shoulder tension using this trigger point release technique. In this video, I show you how to release your pecs, traps, lats and rhomboids using a lacrosse ball and a wall corner. This self massage technique will help improve neck and shoulder mobility. Watch this video if you want to learn how to use trigger point release to get rid of stiff neck and stiff shoulders, how to self massage neck and shoulders, improve neck range of motion, shoulder mobility, This self treatment for shoulder pain and neck pain is effective. If you don't have a lacrosse ball, you can also use a tennis ball. Use this sequence whenever your shoulders feel stiff. I had two months of PT, cortisone shots and finally gave up and scheduled major shoulder surgery. Then I discovered Kai and these moves and one month later I cancelled the surgery. Now I keep up the maintenance (because it tries to come back) on my neck, shoulder and other body parts and am forever grateful to her!!!

Takira Sharde I hope this technique helps! A consistent mobility routine should ease tension in your shoulder region! I also recommend breathing exercises for stress. When work gets stressful we tighten up and that stress manifests in your body.

Hi . I have been having tightness in my upper back rhomboid muscles since last 3 years . Every time I breath out something clicks in my upper back thoracic region . I did x ray but it showed there is a little reduction in my disc space in d12v . But my symptoms mainly are severe tightness in my upper back muscles which cause breathing problem. Is this tennis ball gonna help me quickly ?

I find it more efficient by using a bit larger baseball sized ball for rolling on especially on the ground or against a wall because this way your upper back or traps area doesn’t touch the floor and you’ll get a much more better release. There are some “3 inch CORK massage balls” out there but seems that many sellers don’t state the size of the balls and they’re usually lacrosse ball size with a diameter of 2.5”.

Dear Kai aka Superwoman, I honestly had no idea what Lacrosse was until seeing your video. The ball on the wall always works well for my shoulder issues but I've never seen someone get in such convoluted stances to achieve it LOL.

I am not sure who gave you a thumbs down! This has been the best exercise ever! I use to pay a lot of my for my physical therapist to get this knot out of the point just below my right shoulder blade and I moved from that city. Seany F you should be ok. Listen to your body. If you feel overly sore afterwards make an adjustment. Less days or time. :)

Is it a valid solution whenever trigger points every day appear on mid rx or high rx trapezius/scapulae due to bad posture?

Thanks Kai! I have been using tennis , large and small massage balls,and a lacrosse ball, but I have been on a flat wall.After watching your video I moved to an end wall. What a huge difference plus holding for 60 seconds!!! I also did a trick my dad taught me ,I put aloe lotion on before massaging.
