Take a step back to the 1980s. Over 12 local TV commercials show what USA was like 40 years ago. Spots of QuikTrip convenience store, Soundtrack electronics, Sipes grocery store. Different times in USA and different times as far as television production. QuikTrip spots feature Lamar the dog. Ads Tulsa TV also for the now-defunct Sprint long distance phone service, Sipes at Kensington Mall, Linda Soundtrack, the new Woodland Hills Mall, Otasco stores, WalMart.

Wow, I shopped at Sipes Kensington at 71st and Lewis back in the day. Later became an Office Depot. Don't know what it is now.

Pretty interesting stuff! Otasco, Strings West, KMOD, Lamar, Sprint (Part of the Southern Pacific Organization), and Wal Mart bragging about 231 stores! (Over 10K world wide now). And I would guess I at least considered going to Cheap Trick, although I didn't go... Thanks for posting

I dropped off and picked up my teeny bopper niece and her buddy at that 1982 Cheap Trick concert at the Assembly Center. 😂
