Nerf (or foam blasters) have a large modding community. Those people like to either make the gun really stylish, powerful or both. They create cool stuff ngl
yeah there are nerf games that are just like airsoft. one thing about nerf guns is that when you think of the range you'd say like at most across the living room. but there are some nerf guns that can probably go as far as a "bad" airsoft gun. compare like a high tier probably modded rival blaster. this can possibly do as well as a low-medium tier airsoft pistol, when comparing range and reliability and stuff like that. of course nerf rival blasters shoot some bigger balls then airsoft, so it has more wind and more drag n stuff like that. in conclusion, some nerf guns shoot well enough to be able to be used in a competitive match. a person thats trained with guns and very used to the nerf gun they are using could totally beat a person thats in their like first to third game of airsoft with like a 95% success rate.
And currently in the market with nerf unmodded guns that are part of the “ pro “ spectrum is also popping up, they are around 120-160 fps out of the box so anybody with a nerf gun thats skilled can probably be competitive
There are HVZ events (humans vs zombies) and those are considered big, but it requires some specific gear and modded guns, like a Stryfe. But they are fun to attend to every once in awhile but less games cause of the coof.
They actually have a competitive side to nerf some big events are hvz (humans vs zombies) “Endwar” and the largest that I know of is “Jared’s epic nerf battle” which is actually in a sports stadium Also moding such as rewireing electric blasters to take things such as lipos and things such as caliburns and nexus pros a high power springers Hopefully this is more helpful for people who don’t quite understand the competitive side of nerf
Ok lil update It decided to plit in two for no reason I didnt build it as upper and receiver, i built it as 1 singular unit The damage is not too bad so i just need to make some time in between all the darn homework and then ill make the video
They do have real life nerf games. They have tournaments, hvz (humans v zombies), festivals, modded games, base games and probably more. Just depends on your location.
The nerf community is actually really big in Australia and Singapore. Its starting to become bigger in the States but as of now, you gotta be in a group to go to events which are like once a month
for nerf, there are clubs who mod their nerf guns, and yes, there are planned battles. People like them because theyre the funnest things for young boys before airsoft.

1:34 Annoying fact: That's not Nerf, that's Dart Zone! P.S 2:16 People do for example, hold HvZ(humans vs zombies) Nerf events in some countries. It's kinda niche tho.
