You do realize that America isn't the only country with a vibrant gun culture comparatively loose gun laws, right? In Switzerland, all able bodied military age males are required to keep both a rifle and sidearm in case they are required for war as well as a relatively common gun culture that centers around leisure and sport.
@@nuck- In china where guns are banned and almost impossible to get instead of school shootings adults go into grade schools and stab a bunch of children. Its a huge problem there. But because its media is communist controlled its hard to get much info on it.
It's important if you want your face in a zombie's gullet. Unless you're vanguard and distraction, or animals get zombified. The greatest thing about shotguns is that if it fits in the barrel you can shoot it just fine with the proper steps
My dad has been wanting me to get into a sport, so we choice Shooting for my affinity and obsession with guns due to ammo costs in my country, I was looking into reloading ever since I saw some equipment on sale in a gun show we went to Glad I found your channel! very straight to the point and educational, without coming off like a smartass thanks for all the knowledge!
@@NerdyNEET Not all thingd being taught are rubbish, I've learned a decent bit about guns from school, but mostly the history behind them. Besides, whats the point of being a good shooter when you're as dumb as a box of rocks 😂
In brazil you need to be 25 yo, make various tests, and wait 9 months to recrive a license and a pistol is just 4x minimum salaries Sorry for my bad english
Been duck hunting for three 3yrs, and tonight, I looked into reloading. Straight forward video . I reloaded pistol and rifle but wasn't sure how this reloader works. Thanks !
I live in Germany, never owned a gun and probably never will but I am fascinated by how good you explained that process, given, it´s simple but still a great video :D
I don’t do much shotgun shooting, so I just buy factory loads; but to read the comments of how many people this guy helped to make up their minds about reloading is amazing.
This video showed up because I've been watching a lot of gun videos, but it's nice to see blown out shells being given a new life. Thanks for the video.
Honestly, never thought of reloading shot shells but you make it seem very easy to do. This would be a great way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon. Thanks for this video.
I am looking at this guys video and I am just so confused why he only has about 100k subs. This guy is like the teacher you never had but always wanted.
Man, I was on the fence about reloading, but after watching this and doing a quick search on the prices I feel much better. Thanks for the great video!
johnny cole my mind wasn’t on the pricing so much as thinking that at some point the politicians will get smart and start making it difficult to buy ammo.
I've recently considered starting to reload 12 gauge shells and this is the first video watched of my info search. Shared to Facebook. Thanks a lot, man. Good video.
im a noob to this reloading so naturally I never thought about buying bbs instead of the "shotgun shot".... still learning and watching your old vids. semper fi
I have been looking for the "right" how to with the load all II and in this video, I have found it. You did a great job and more importantly still. You taught in a manner that I can and did learn something. I have had a load all II for 4 years and it's never been out of the box. I go hurt right after I ordered it and am just now getting things back to normal enough that I can start reloading with confidence and thanks to you and this video I feel confidant and ready.
I'm not a first time reloader, as I reload 5 or 6 different pistol/rifle cartridges, but new to shotshell reloading and was wondering where to start. You've probably single-handedly sold a ton of Lee load-alls with this video. Myself included. I literally just bought one and excited to get started learning the press with some steel shot. Super cheap shooting after I did the math! Thanks so much for the instructional overview!
I thought that reloading is harder than that! I see myself older, sometime in the future, sitting in my garage and reloading those 12 gauge shells... :D
Just bought a Load-All (20 gauge) after asking the company if I could load BB from the hopper, they confirming that's the max shot size the loader could handle. Thanks!
This helps me out tremendously on what to start with on my lee loadall II. I love your reloading videos. I have so much to learn. Thank you for always sharing your knowledge brother.
That is like a cross between a gum ball machine and a one armed bandit . The only difference is you all ways win and it sugar free . Love it . Thank you .
Stall Sgt. BA, great video. Picked up lots of tips. I started reloading in 1967. Back then using over powder cards, cushion wads, and lead shot. Everything was about properly matching exactly the correct shell, powder, was column, amount of powder and shot, and the proper crimp, or, "Your GONA Blow Your Gun Up.",,,,seems a lot simpler now a days. We had to match powder, wads, shot, to high brass, low brass, plastic, or paper shells, brass or steel base. I used to shoot hundreds of shells a month, coming in from work and shooting in my back yard at clay pigeons. Never blew up a gun, but was always afraid that I would if I didn't follow loading data exactly as written. Glad to see all the improvements made since then. Started on a MEC 600 Jr.
Thank you Sargent Bad Ass!!! I live in California and starting next year, I have to register to purchase ammo. I would prefer knowing how to reload my own ammunition. This has been very informative.
Sorry, I dont see the sense in this except survival-and then u dont have this stuff with u how much does it cost u - reloading 1 shot -including powder shot wad and primer Lambro shells (greek stuff) cost just 5€(6USD) for 25 shots -thats just 20 cents (0,24 USD) a shot u probably cant beat that with reloading ur lifetime is wort more ... also most shells are made of cheap plastic and sheet steel so u cant reload it more than twice and meny you collect are just thrash
I have been reloading shot shells for over 30 years, it has saved me a lot of money. If you do a lot of upland game and waterfowl hunting, reloading can save you thousands of $$$. I just wish he would have emphasized shell inspection, wad pressure and possible problems and accidents that all avid shot shell reloaders have encountered. A good video !
That's it , you've convinced me to buy one! Before this pandemic I ordered a Lynx 12 (Saiga clone) and she eats a lot of ammo. Especially with a 25 round drum!
Never touched a gun, literally seen 4 guns in my life, two pistols I couldn't recognize which were in holsters and two MP5's. Yet...I still thoroughly enjoyed watching this. It's like those rusty tool reconstruction videos.
@@KBlock-kg6hp Quite hard to do in the UK. I do honestly think that I'd enjoy it after a few hundred rounds of practice, but getting ahold of one here is hard.
Damn those shells look good. In my head I thought they would look all mangled and shit after being reloaded, but those look good and proper. I'm considering buying a press and powder and hoping that primers will be available again in the future. Thanks for showing me how that works.
3rd or fourth time I've watched this video, and I made a couple of positive comments. Not gonna stop there. I've been reloading on the LEE LOADALL PRESSES for over 20 years. Yes I got it down, but I still like to watch videos like yours to refresh my memory, just prior to a new session. This helps so much , for an older man like me. Thanks.
I have watched and re-watched this video a few times man. I do plan on buying one of these to reload my 12. Locally high brass #6 price per box jumped up to $18.25 per box of 25. Crazy.
I use to make them when I was a student and couldn’t afford a new box every time but I used old fashion orange juice mechanics that you press and squeeze one with iron made and use to do all that with hand cool stuff brought my memory back thanks for that
Not american and i dont have guns either, but damn would i love to do this for a solid few hours straight and end up with a fresh bundle of shells in the end.
You could always work for your country's armoury, or find a private company that makes shot shells in relatively small batches, or work for a Hunter or sports shooter
I bought and tried a Lee Loadall like yours way back in the early eighties. I’m glad I saw your video because I totally missed the size ring. I was a young man, is my only excuse. I don’t know if it wasn’t included or I just overlooked it, but I certainly needed it! I couldn’t get them to work in my pump, so I had to shoot them in an old double. I’ll dig that old loaded out again and give it another try. Thanks!
Travis Thacker glad you provided a reason I didn’t use a size ring! It might not have been there. I agree that larger bore shotguns can be tiresome on recoil. The truth is, I don’t shoot a lot at game. As a farmer, I’ve dispatched more pests than game birds with a shotgun, mostly because where I live in west Texas, we’ve had quite a few dry years in the past 20 and I didn’t have the heart to shoot some of the few quail I saw. I was really thrilled to see them bounce back the way they have a couple of years ago. I didn’t think they could as well as they have!
It’s gun powder, it’s alright we all start somewhere. I just recently started reloading.223 and got into guns so I know your struggle. Just do your research and welcome to the community brother!
I've watched this a few times now and find it very helpful before I start reloading the lee load all was my first reloading press and it will be on my work table as long as I can reload
This along is enough to make me happy...not even shooting, just sitting at 2am watching some breaking bad while my dogs are barphing outside and I'm making some fresh rounds... incredible hobby and amazing little tool
Thank you for this video. I have some crazy bulb going off in my head to make my own specialized shotgun loads, although I have zero experience reloading.
@@StepOneSurvival Might be dependent on store. Was in Florida a little under 2 weeks ago and the closest Walmart to me had ammo but no guns or gun cases. The Walmart closest to the public shooting range had pretty much everything except some cartridges. A Walmart somewhere in the middle had some guns and ammo but no cases. However I heard that Walmarts are putting their guns and ammo away in case of looting following the election.
What is your payload weight (roughly)? Velocity? Curious about what kind of load this was... Great video BTW! All I load right now is 45-70 with my old school Lee Loader (yes the hammer type). Looking to get into 12 gauge.
Hey nice vid I realize it's a few years old but just started reloading and your vid helped. did four shells and tried and worked and shot perfectly. now I'm addicted to reloading shotshells Great job. Glenn.
Thank you brother I do a lot of my reloading videos on patreon because of RU-vid giving me strikes. I'm not supposed to do reloading anymore on RU-vid. www.patreon.com/StepOneSurvival
That is a real nice hobby to do my man. Fortunately I live in a country that this kind of hobby is not possible by law. But I love watching gun and ammo youtubers doing there thing.
See I shoot trap and sporting clays (I’m only 14) but I’ve thought about reloading shells but just never have this video shows how easy it is so I’ll have to buy a reloader now. Also what is a good reloader but not to expensive
I am extremely grateful for your lesson and I will say you are the one who showed me how to use my shiny new Lee Load all II. Thank you. HOWEVER, every shotgun forum I have found with the salty old shotgun guys has nearly jumped out of their skin to say: "DO NOT LOAD BBs INTO YOUR SHOTSHELLS, IT WILL DAMAGE YOUR GUN". BBs are harder than lead and will score your barrel. They also claim that BBs are lighter and will not fly right anyway. ...or so these guys say.
@@Ragingmarmot the wad you use when loading steel shot or bb,s protects the barrel up to its exit of the barrel and then falls away from the shot on the way to its target.
interesting to see, my dad's friend reloaded rifle rounds and I remember seeing it when I was little, it is really cool to see it again now that I am older and understand
