I have 3 old MEC 600 presses (12, 20 & 410). The 12 & 20 gauge presses both work fine. However, the 410 press has much smaller drop tube for shot. Once in a while the shot (#8) gets stuck in the drop tube, so I end up shaking the handle (like you are doing), or tapping on in the drop tube to get the shot to fall loose. Maybe sanding (or polishing) inside 410 drop tube would help.
Use the machine to do everything but dump the shot if your using 7 1/2 much more efficient and faster, and you dont have to shake the machine, and worry about a mess, the shot running out all over the place
You are not showing depriming or resizing. Why are you shaking the arm when dispensing shot? All you need to do is raise the arm before releasing the shot.
A 410 drop tube is a smaller diameter than others,l have one a1/2 oz. 6 shot I have to tap the crome bar or let the arm top out several times and rattle the handle as your dumping shot and carefully look to see if all shot dropped 4 shot I load like buckshot a separate scale and the bottle only has a hand full of shot while loading too much it bridges easily, 3/4 oz drop not much better
tkarlmann - he is showing de-prime (in the first position) as the first step when he adds a new hull. First part of the second position is seating the primer, just before adding the wad.
