We've updated our design, so it's time for an updated installation guide! Check it out at www.kaon.com.au
One of the most useful features of modern cars is definitely a reversing camera, but as fans of a rear-wheel bin bag for storing rubbish on the road, we understand the dilemma of choosing between them. This bracket gives you the best of both worlds, allowing easy relocation of the factory reversing camera - so you can mount your bin bag while also gaining a better view of your tow ball.

Are you going to make one for the Prado 120 as well?

Hi Guys, I've just done this conversion, the instructions were very easy indeed, thank you! What I would say, is that it would have been nice to bring the shroud for the camera to the bracket to protect the camera, also a clear film that you could overlay or just under the incar display to indicate where the new centre reversing line would be! I've used a labelling machine and stuck mine to the black border of the touch screen!!

Tip for viewers: for 32inch (265/70) tyres on a 2017 Prado it is best to buy one spacer at least, and with one space the process worked fine except I checked for clearance on the tyre wall and then decided to locate the adhesive zip tie fixing closer to the first zip tie loacation, i.e. closer to the wheel centre to ensure clearance. As always with KAON - a great quality product!

Hi Tim, Love your products and have fitted quite a few to my Prado. On the rear camera relocation bracket installation info you mention that the guidelines are no longer positioned correctly. It would be great if you could do a follow up video showing how these can be recalibrated using the vehicle service menu for both the standard rear camera and 360 degree camera systems. It seems to be a relatively simple process after the required markers are set out on the ground. There are a few videos online for other models but the process seems to be common across all Toyotas.

you mentioned additional viewing angle without the shroud - is there a big difference?

We've changed our brackets a little and so had to update it - the second half of the video is different. :)

@@fredorji1 It should do! The older design was designed to suit all tyres up to 35", this one has two positions based on different tyre ranges. Same size range, just a different install process.
