Relocation in 2015 of a TAKRAF semi-mobile crushing plant, commissioned in 2004, at the Old Cliffe Hill Quarry open pit mine in the UK.
The just under 800 ton plant was required to be moved roughly 800 meters from its existing location to a new location deeper within the pit. TAKRAF was awarded overall responsibility for the complicated (high center of gravity) move, including full engineering of the relocation process, supervision of disassembly, transportation (by means of a Multi-Wheeler and TAKRAF's specifically designed and built transport adapter) and final assembly.
The actual move was executed without any issues and took about 5 hours to complete.
