Bruh I just noticed that this map is a remake. But it didn't feel like the Flooded Forest to me without the underwater combat...

I wish the kept the rain affects in, would have gave alot of atmosphere

My jaw was dropped when I saw *that* waterfall in Rise, the impact of said realization was real... Considering there's a few new map remakes, I really want the OG map of them all. Verdant Hills, aka Forest and Hills from the very first Monster Hunter. Spent a ton of my childhood life there, would absolutely a treat if they decided to make it. The 1st Gen Jungle was also breathtaking in the scenery aspect, and its Volcano last area was a marvelous spectacle one must see for themselves.

Rise could really use some climatological hazards, I like the fact you can chose whatever you want to make an expedition during daytime or nighttime, but the maps could definitely use some detail when it comes to climate... Just imagine a dense fog covering the Shrine Ruins (not the one produced by chameleos), dense clouds and heavy rain in the Flooded Forest, sand storms in the Sandy Plains, snow blizzards that block visibility during night at the Frozen Islands and volcanic eruptions that filled the skies with black mist on the Lava Caverns...

That is honestly amazing. They kept a lot of the old design but made it fit very well into the free roam nature of the new direction. Thanks for doing this!

Your the only channel that I found that is able to compare the old maps glad I found this. Brings back so much memories from tri (wish they recreated all tri maps and build from there . I really do miss the swimming mechanics.

Rise's Flooded Forest is devoid of all of its character. Flooded Forest is supposed to be misty, foggy, rainy, mysterious and cave like. The vegetation and blue undertones light up the otherwise gray and brown design.

i really didn't liked that much the rise one, i think it loses the atmosphere and a lot of vegetation the other two had, like area 7, 1 and 9 lose A LOT of vegetation and atmosphere.

i hope you do more of these in the future if more old maps are remade for sunbreak or even future monster hunter games

Honestly looks way better on the older games

I knew Rise felt like a remashed P3rd! Although looking at the side-by-side, P3rd looks a lot better in the colour grade and general density. Even on PC Rise is really lacklustre graphically...

Imagine a MH3U remaster with connected areas with the same underwater feature and rain effect. Too bad the combination got botched into three games.

All they had to do was bring back underwater fights, then it would've been GOTY without question.

The Rise version lost a lot of the grit the older maps had, the higher fidelity doesn't work as well for Rise as it did for World. I wish they kept the character of the older maps more.

Watching you climb that pyramid was painful, pls just use the aimed dash. Other than that great video man.

One of my favorite maps got remade and they botched it so hard.

I miss area 9. I thought it looked like a little Japan.

In Rise before Sunbreak it was the worse performing map of all, dropping into the low 20s FPS
