Nice repairs and persistence.. Found you on this plane in my search ofa possible purchase.. Try flying this plane in more to the ground .. Seems like your approaches end up as "drop ins".. Like one might do with a high wing plane..
Congratulations on her Remaiden flight - well she is no FW190 that's for sure -LOL - some of those landings looked very close if not actually in a tip stall - once again I take my hat off to you, for landing at such a slow speed - I would be shaking in my boots - Flaps - that's the stuff....well you got the classic tail in the air (warbird showing her underside) lol , Nice....
Where did your CG end up with the bigger battery? I only have 2200's, and my CG is looking like it will be around 20mm BEHIND the rearmost recommended measurement of 45mm. (from the leading edge)
Well (this is a shame) but I normally don't measure cg. I put a recommended battery in at the manual stated cg and then put on my fingers then go by feel either way until I am happy. Not very scientific but it works for me. I do however use the rule of the heavier the battery the further back it goes. Thats why most often in my videos I show where I place my battery to give viewers a reference point for their plane.
@@FatGuyFliesRC I get that, I'm just scared to send it on a maiden with the CG so far rearward compared to the suggested range. 😁 I have enough weight up front now , so I'll fly and see how it behaves before reducing weight again.
@@cbwhitmore24 I don't know if you've had a chance to fly yours yet, but I'm getting ready to fly mine. And what I'm hearing is that the CG is indeed at about the 60-65 mm mark, right where you originally had it. The manual appears to be wrong. What has your experience been?
Not at all, This Typhoon was a hand full for me. I have long since sold her. Now my Dynam FW 190 will be with me as long as she still flies. I love that bird!
Just a larger metal geared servo and take out as much play as possible in the linkage. With all that room and wood in there should not be a problem. I need to upgrade mine as well but I have not had a issue.
this bird needs to fly fast....lots of drag.....keep you rates down and use expo to stop bobbing up and down...and light use of flaps...this isn't a umx size plane so no quick turns...especially with no speed....nice plane..KOOL !!!!...most pilots with not a lot of flight time should land to set trims....its real easy to lean on gimble sticks when adjusting trim buttons looking for trim tabs and also trying to eyeball them while flying....low speeds and tight turns ...a disaster in the making.
