I like imagining the drum breaks are an actual drummer who's just won the lottery n is on some new ultra potent synthetic drug...n he's not even trying lol
Thanks for the translation. Any idea where this sample is from? NEVERMIND. Found it: Saxon-VS.-Addies-Soundclash-in-Bermuda-1994 www.whosampled.com/Saxon-Sound/Saxon-VS.-Addies-Soundclash-in-Bermuda,-1994/
Anarchy of 94… how lucky were we to be in our youth then… how lucky we are to still love it now. Peace to all the real junglist past present and future ❤💛💚🤘👊🏻
Unbelievable amen edits... what an achievement considering this was done in 94 on pretty basic equipment...as Roy Castle used to say "that's dedication" lol
You could do SO much with those old Akais if you raped the shit out of them. To this day only a few people know how to do the "snaking" breaks that Rob Playford pioneered with Goldie's Timeless
Bought this monster on vinyl way back when. Remarc is always sick, but went silly on this. A rare 12" where both sides are equally as good as each other! This is HARD Amen pressure. Haul and pull up!!! Badbwoy riddim. Big up the Southmanz dem! Love some rare groove so love the 'Bodyfusion' sample at the beginning! Even the 'Fiddler On The Roof' sample works. Genius!
The young modern DAW users of 2023 are oblivious to the amount of tech knowledge and skill it took to cut up the Amen the old-skool way back in the day.
Am I right in thinking Remarc isn't a particularly prolific producer? In 25 years he doesn't seem to have released much which is a shame because he's my favourite jungle producer. On his Discogs there's a tune released every few years and it stops in 2004. I know he still DJs though. Is there more tunes not listed on Discogs?
Think does mainly gigs/sets nowadays. You've probs checked out 'Junglemania Docu' already with his interviews etc. Anyway it's up to check out if not. Absolute DON..♡
sometimes it's better to be known for a few classics rather than a couple of classics and a bunch of whatever tunes, i think most people have a lot of respect for remarc
@@leonleon3267 can totally agree with that. I have seen videos of him producing tunes recently though. He was filming it himself. Maybe he doesn't release them? But yes, Remarc will always have a lot of respect.
@@DreamSequenceVisuals actually the tune that is being whistled @1:45 is 'If I was a rich man' from the film Fiddler on the roof. The link you put has the Sergio Leone whistle from his films such as 'A few dollars more' and 'The good, the bad and the ugly' 😉
This was done with Cubase I think, but you can do this with OctaMED easily if you know how. I recreated a lot of Remarc's Amen edits in OctaMED back when I was 15 just to prove a point! Aphrodite did all of his Amen edits in OctaMED back in the day, as did Zinc and OmniTrio.
