Out of all the reviews I've watched, yours is the most enjoyable because I feel like I am just watching someone trying it out like I would. Everyone else is so analytical and slow and blabbering on for ages about tiny things. Great review 👏
I'm trying to get one of these approved for a work purchase. Love the reMarkable 2. I'd say the color feature is cool, but the increased size and backlight are the main 2 features that grabbed my attention. Great video for the reM2 owners!
Great review! Finally someone reviewing the Remarkable for what it’s made for: Digital Notebook! Most reviewers out there are just looking at how it displays colour comic books.
First time I've seen your videos and I really like your attitude and approach...very smart, friendly, and down to earth. I ordered the Pro, expecting it early October...can't wait! You've got a new follower!
the remarkable is also very helpful for scientists. we have to read papers/publications/PDFs regularly. for many, the RM2 falls short because many figures in papers are colour dependent.
Great review! I love how you acknowledge that there is a reason to have an ipad in addition to rM. I’ve found the same. I have a Surface Pro for graphics and general computing; rM is for thinking, notes, planning, doodling. I hope rMPP will be better for reading literature with color figures, since bright screens are a bit tiring
Awesome review! Great to hear the perspective of someone who seems to have regularly used an RM2, and I appreciate that you actually looked at what people were saying and asking about the new device. Looking forward to the follow-up video with the plane travel - it'll be interesting to see how things like weight, battery life, and the frontlight hold up to real-world use. Might be interesting to throw some more graphic-heavy content (like comics or textbooks) on there as well to see how it performs. Thanks again for the video!
Great Review. I have been an ardent user of RM2 and love it to the core. A big downside was not being able to see color images, write in color text, as well as use it in the night in the dark. With this new RMPP, it would solve the color issues as well as the using in the dark. Have you opened pdf documents with color images and how do you feel about that? Are the original colors translated well? Though you did not use it in the dark, from this and other videos its pretty clear that the light from the tab is good for using in the dark.
Nice review! This looks cool, I just can’t believe they don’t let you search your handwritten notes. That’s a clear win over pen & paper for me. They have OCR, and supernote etc all do it, so it’s got to be possible.
Excellent Video! Thank You! Quick Question. On the speed of the page turn it seemed pretty quick. As a musician wanting to use this for sheet music purposes, would you say the page turn is fast enough if performing a fast musical piece?
I just got mine today. I regret giving away my RM2. I’m so disappointed with the flickering, the noise when writing, low quality of my pdfs in the new RM Pro. It’s so slow. It feels like writing on an iPad. 😔
Hi, thank you for your video. Do you recommend the Remarkable Paper Pro for a student (engineering for me)? Indeed, I am concerned about the feel of the tablet and the focus. I feel my needs align with the Remarkable, but what are your thoughts on it?
Do you think the laptop bag you sell would be a good fit for this? Also, do the backpack straps work for the laptop bag (esp. in "shoulder strap mode")?
It actually would! The size of the RMPP leave some room in our laptop sleeve for any other useful items too. It does go into shoulder carry with the strap from the backpack
Great review! I’d like to see what sheet music looks like on the new Remarkable Pro. Is it usable? Any musicians out there that have tried it let me know.
Does the new pen have the same roughness on the body? I have always preferred the completely smooth texture of the apple pen to hold than the rougher remarkable 2 pen
The orange color is only available on the highlighter and the shader pen, so yes it does appear to be a little bit yellow. The highlighter is pretty true to orange.
No, just an internal 64 GB but realistically 42 GB of usable space. But, it would take an insane amount of documents to actually fill this thing. I used my reMarkable two for a year and only put like 3 GB on it.
Hi! I used the RCU hack for the device. Use at your own risk (although I haven’t heard of any major issues!) checkout the RM Reddit feed. All info is on there I think
The Viwoods Ai paper is better because it does similar things and on top of that you have access to the Android store so you can use any Ebook Store & Book reading apps you want
The only thing holding me back is the question “why should I buy this instead of an iPad which has more features (including apps that can replace the remarkable)?”
