Remastering Skyrim | 25 GAMEPLAY Mods I CANNOT Play Without!

Throughout past 40 videos, I've showcase many combat mods, visual overhauls & immersion mods, but how about core and simple plugins / fixes that I simply could not play the game without!?
Here is a collection that I use and consider a core, regardless of what sort of play-through I have in mind.
"Remastering Skyrim" mini series within "Weekly Dose Of Skyrim Mods" will focus on all aspects of the game individually, and separated by categories / videos, starting with this one, and later moving on to textures, flora, combat and few others that improve the game for the better, without breaking the lore and Skyrim-esque feel of the game.
Additionally, the channel is slowly gearing up for Starfield release, and although Skyrim modding ain't going anywhere for years to come, Starfield's release is definitely going to be nice breath of fresh air for me, where I could introduce a bit of variety to my content releases.
So expect many more Skyrim videos to come for the foreseeable future, with Starfield joining the video library very soon!

I swear, this man's mod list is an absolute gem. From animations, to combat, to UI, to models, QoL and everything in between. I've never downloaded a modpack, but I would definitely download his if he were to release one. Amazing video as always Syn.

I'm getting back into Skyrim after years of not playing, and my modding knowledge is beyond outdated to the point where I have no idea what mods are good nowadays. Just make sure to ALWAYS look at dates of mods. If it hasnt been updated in the last year, it's probably no good

@@tripalink Also u say "vortex with premium is a way better experience" even tho premium works the exact same way with wabbajack i installed 300GB of mods in like 30 mins and instantly started playing after it was done. nexus collections has a single pack that is over 100GB

Here's what I need. A dialogue mod that stops that annoying issue where you click one response but the game selects a different one. So you end up clicking something other than what you're trying to select.

dTry has just released a mod that will be part of many "Cannot Play Without" lists. Wheeler is a fully customizable wheel menu mod and it is far better than the vanilla hotkey system, SkyUI's favorite list, and even mods like iEquip/Elden Equip.

Wheeler is something I will be reviewing for sure, but as incredible of a mod it is, for some reason, I just hate wheels as heads up display elements. It's just visually unpleasant for me, and I can't really describe why. 🥴

be aware that skyrim recently updated and a bunch of these mods (currently) will prevent your game from working. as I'm typing this it's at least true for Quick Loot and Better Third Person Selection

This game really is the gift that keeps on giving. I'll happily stick with it for as long as Bethesda takes to release ESO VI, but the mods keep giving them such a massive and growing bra to fill.

Note that quickloot results in instant crash on start so dont use it unless you use 1.5 or something. If you go to quickloot EE page, posts you can find a link to a replacement DLL for quickloot EE (NOT RE) Seems to work on current version of steam skyrim as of this comment.

Love the video! Definitely looking into your other videos to expand and enhance the Skyrim experience. Do you have a mod list order of all your mods by chance? I know I’m late to the game here but I’m coming over From playing Skyrim on PS (frustrated with the mod system there) and have no clue what I’m doing lol. I will have to use a controller for sure. But I’m not sure what order these mods need to be in let alone other mods Oh and thank you for such a detailed/informative video!! I love every single one over these 😊

8:55 big no to Immersive HUD It is an outdated mod with such a big script bloat that the moment I removed it, I gained 4 FPS back. It accounted for 40% of all my scripts.

Strange. Personally never encountered any issues. I like minimalistic HUDs when playing in first person, hence my recommendation. iHUD has been in my LO for almost 7 years without any issues.

From the minute 6:30 I was only interested in how to get these look and animations, i suppose it was a variation of tk dodge mod and something else for the archery. And that make up on your vampire character, could you tell from which mod is? And also about equipment: How do you display everything and animate? Long time ago I used Dual Sheath Redux which was hard to make working wuth all that patching and stuff like that, is there a new convenient mod for that? A lot of questions but thanks for the video

i dont think i could dwindle down a mod list to just 25 mods. it takes 25 mods just to get the sucker stable. and why limit to 25? just go get a wabbajack modlist. there are tons of them ranging from "mostly vanilla" to "what game is this?" to "should i close my blinds i dont want the neighbors to see".

Got a thumbs up despite most being useless for me as I play in VR. I personally hate certain grinding and management systems. I also don't care for extreme survivalistic mods that increase the grind. I like to play the story and have to a some challenge. My base necessities are auto lock picking, unlimited sprinting, unlimited carry weight, and another mod to ask again each time I "steal" something because I often intend to try to interact with someone but have accidentally stolen something instead leading to problems.

Hey how did you get the health to dynamically display above the enemies ? I've watched other videos of yours and have almost all the same mods in your description (all of the UI mods) so I was confused why my enemies didn't have similar health bars ?

I don't say this as criticism, but to add a cinematic camera to a heavily immersion-focused game like Skyrim is very strange. 😅 I prefer more immersive experience than a cinematic experience, maybe it is the reason I still prefer Skyrim over The Witcher 3... 🤔

A good list, but I think “Ultimate Conversation Camera” is supposed to be “Alternate Conversation Camera” and “More Immersive Interactions” should be “More Immersive Activations”. Also, I would caution against adding these mods wholesale, because though they may work fine individually, conflicts may arise with your existing mods. For example, Better Jumping could interfere with some of the quest mods which have jumping puzzles. Quick Loot may not work well with The Dark Arts and other mods which affect corpses and containers. (I haven’t tried this, so you should test it some yourself.) These mods are basically tweaks to make the game run smoother, but if you are an uber-modder like I am, you may be nearing the .esp or animations limit, so adding some of these mods would mean choosing between a nice little tweak and a new player home, dungeon expansion, quest sequence or fun NPC. Also, make sure you have all the requirements before installing the mod.

Mia sucks it doesn’t tell you the name of what your trying to active, and with people you have to talk to them first or it will just say what race they are. Highly recommend avoiding

Not sure why, but I always manage to break the game at some point. First few mods are fine and then once I use more -being careful with mod load order- it just wont start game. my Version is 1.6.1170 SE and using Vortex

I was hoping to try mods like these, but one day Skyrim just started automatically minimizing every few seconds for no apparent reason, making it unplayable. Restarting the PC and reinstalling never fixed it.

You installed a mod or several and didnt take your time. It happens to us all. Or you have the wrong version could be several things. If you didnt completely uninstall that is the issue you need to wipe any existence of skyrim from your PC and start fresh.

Great video. What mod is that physics enabled hair from in the middle and end of the video? White mail hair. I have been searching high and low for good male, physics enabled hairs to no avail.
