Hey everyone thanks for watching this video!! It was awesome to finally rematch this delicious pancake challenge!! There are a few more Hawaiian videos upcoming!! For anyone who hasn't yet watched our previous video, featuring my 2nd attempt versus the 8-Patty "Aloha" Hawaiian Cheeseburger Challenge hosted by Honolulu Burger Co, here is a link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Lg9IXdNNDWM.html
*@RandySantel --* Having tried *[M.A.C. Daddy Pancake Challenge]* (failed) many years ago, I am glad you were victorious on your re-match. *:)* 1.) *_Correct Choices_** --* You and Katina made the correct choice(s) in sticking to the simple [Fruit & Whipped Cream] pancake platter options. While having Flavor Variety generally helps with Mass Food Challenges, the _'Elvis',_ the _'Hawaiian Kine',_ and the _'Bananas Foster'_ pancake platters, are less than ideal choices for such a Mass Food Challenge due to their heavy content nature, as you learned. 2.) *_Challenge Tactics & Questions_** --* I am curious though... - a.) *Tactics -* I am surprised that you &/or Katina did not use your tactic of having a second plate, to use to separate/break-up the food pile(s) as you two have done with other Challenges. You/Katina could have tackled the dense(r) bottom pancakes first that way? Or it simply did not occur to either of you at the time? - b.) *Question (butter) -* Back then, if you *CHOSE* to order their Specialty Butter(s) alongside the base-choice pancake platter, you were required to finish it as part of your Challenge. Has the Specialty Butter(s) now become *_fixed_* component to the Challenge since when I tried it? (Again, many years ago.) 3.) (4:29) *_Hawaiian Kine pancake platter_** --* On its own, the _'Hawaiian Kine'_ is very tasty; but for the Challenge, it could have easily backfired on you, just like the _'Elvis'_ platter... - a.) *Haupia Sauce -* Unlike the Chantilly Whipped Cream for the other [Fruit-type] Pancake platters, the _'Haupia Sauce'_ is a heavy coconut cream topping; so the _'Haupia Sauce'_ would have weighed you down for the Challenge. *[Side-Note:* For those that do not know, regular/standard Haupia dessert is generally served as a thick pudding, or as a gelatin dessert.] - b.) *Macadamia Nuts -* Obviously, lots of nuts means lots more of chewing effort/time, and additional heavy protein weight. - c.) *Pineapple -* On the positive, the sweet acidity of pineapple would be tasty with eating the pancakes. On the negative, pineapple is generally very fibrous, which means even more chewing effort/time to get through. 4.) *_Casual vs. Challenge_** --* If you (& presumably Katina) are ever back in Hawaii yet again, I would recommend trying the _'Hawaiian Kine'_ platter; not to Challenge, but to casually enjoy/savor. You could even post a non-Challenge video for it. *;)*
Great job on the challenge, also appreciate the editing, it's complete with maps and facts! Seems you are always improving your content, thanks Randy for being so entertaining!
Awesome! I was there with my family when Katina was in the middle of her challenge and left a little after you just started doing yours. It was definitely cool to be at the same spot as the people I've been watching on youtube for a while now.
Randyyyy! Wow! Great challenge! You kicked butt, Brother. That was a really delicious looking mound of pancakes! Congratulations on ANOTHER "W!" On to the next! God bless. Hi, Katina!
It was an awesome challenge! The food was delicious and I'm really glad that I was able to beat the challenge this time around! Thank you for watching the video! Have an awesome week!
I am always jealous when I see a pancake challenge! Easily one of my favorite foods, I'd go in knowing I'd fail but still enjoy every bite I did get through.
4:01 The syrup is good with a normal portion of pancakes, but for a food challenge you need something sour: sour cream, light lemon dip sauce. It is possible to add a little lemon juice to the sour cream. I've already written to you about this before! They put syrup on the table to make you lose! It's a trick, don't forget!
Okay, there are 2 correct ways to say 'syrup' the most common one is 'sir-up', the less common is 'see-rip' Coconut belongs in a coconut cream pie, and Ranger cookies :)
Ima keep it real was not expecting mikey to do challenges that explains why he orders alot in his asmr but hey im not complaing over all great job randy been watching you for a few years (different accounts) and everything you eat looks and sounds amazing keep up the great work man
Hell yeah beat in under 20 mins! Happy to see this win since the 2018 attempt seemed a bit suspect. Good luck the rest of this tour hope to see lots of Ws
Congratulations on redeeming yourself from the 2018 challenge! Knew that you was going to power through this one. Before seeing this video I just seen the burger 🍔 challenge you did a few days ago. A good one👍! Good luck in Australia and safe travels!
I didn't attempt the challenge, but I got "The Elvis" when I vacationed there in 2019. It tasted fantastic (and I had enough leftovers for multiple breakfasts)!
Thank you! I'm definitely glad I won this one, but you can't win them all! I think it would get boring if I won every single challenge hahaha! Thanks for watching! Have an awesome week!
I remember watching this on FB live ! You are awesome! Pancakes have to be one of the toughest food challenge foods. I'd rather die eating a bunch of beef and chicken than try to eat even one XL pancake

I think the syrup pronunciation might be a regional thing. I am from the west coast and pronounce it like Katina. My husband is from Nebraska and pronounces it like Randy.
My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Waikiki Beach back in early 2020 (before Covid) and were in the restaurant one day when a young man was trying to beat the challenge. Unfortunately, he fell woefully short. I did not even think about trying it.
Great video Randy! Congrats on the redo, especially for completing what was an absolute beast the first time. Looked amazing even though I’m not a pancake person.
