I have a OREGON TRAIL handheld game right now that I bought at WALMART a few years ago & it's in color I wait until the 20ft deep river and walk across it SOME of my team DIDN'T MAKE IT 😂

I bought a Tiger Electronics Double Dragon...I never bought another one for myself again. For my friends for birthday presents...sure, but never again for me.

I only remember one of these in the household, "Space Fight." The player operated turrets that blasted at incoming ships.

These descriptions are great. If they were real, these things would be worth a ton mint in package for how non-PC they are. 😂😂

After my uncle died my grandmother kept most of his stuff just in this old shed and no one did anything with it. She died a couple years ago and for whatever reason I ended up with some his things. One of them was a Tiger Batman Forever. It’s messed up but still turns on.

As an OVGG I can remember Tiger was the new electronic educational stuff for preschoolers challenging the Speak N Spell. Handheld video game greatness to me was 6 red hyphens playing football. 😁 And ohhhh man.. the best was a sound effect machine that was kinda shaped like the SPACE 1999 spaceship. And" f ' an Atari 1500.. I had PONG... ON THE TV!!

Even as a kid I was bored with Tiger games. The one I had, still have and love, is the based on the 89 Batman movie. Maybe being bat crazy at the time helped but I played that handheld over and over.

I remember when these were so popular at my first school, i had the Double Dragon 2 one. Then a kid turned up with the original Gameboy one day and blew everyone's mind!! 😄 I think it was about 1990...🤔

The only good thing about these is the art on the front. Also, WHY DO EMULATORS FOR THESE EXIST? WHY?

My sister had the MC Hammer one. I had one for Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers. I kinda liked it but even kid me knew I’d be better off playing the NES one

I loved those types of games!! I had Gauntlet and Double Dragon 😂 I also had early versions of Pac-man and Space Invaders, and tomytronic!

I owned the X-Men Tiger game. A well intentioned uncle gave it to me for my birthday... damn thing was near unplayable.

When I was a kid I used to steal Tiger Games because I wasn't and couldn't be paying 18:99 for that shit. 😆

It seemed like when these things came out they were taking a step backwards...video games were always about moving forward until these came around.... they were just about reaching a price point. There was a handheld game a friend had in 1981 by a company called Q&Q and simple as it was it was miles ahead of these and years earlier. It was simple but detailed and insanely fun and addictive. Tiger games probably really helped push the sales of Gameboy because people demanded more rather than less out of their gaming experience.

The Terminator tiger handheld game was based on the first Terminator film not Terminator 2

I bought an original 1998 Tyger Electronics Furby he doesn’t like waking up and I do manage to wake him up he usually just goes right back to sleep but even when he’s up and active the moment I put a camera on him he decides to go to sleep rather than deal with being filmed lol I know I’d heard each Furby has personality but I didn’t believe it certainly not to this extent this is ridiculous Edit do you remember the ones that would come in McDonalds happy meals in the early 2000’s like Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Sonic, & Monkeyball

I had Pit Fighter. It was about as fun as the real Pit Fighter, so basically not that fun. But it was better than most other Tiger games I tried.

In all fairness, the Tiger X-Men game was probably better than the NES X-Men game.

Hand held tech was extremely limited back then. We had what we had. I played a few of these ,but wasn't really impressed. Never wanted/needed/given any of them .

Growing up, especially when this was all you had, they were pretty fun at the time for about 5-10 minutes until that grating repeated beeping sound got on your nerves. That’s why I was so glad to finally get a Game Boy as a kid with the original Pokémon games and Super Mario Land where instead of constant beeping, I heard 8 bit chiptune music for the first time and it was a lot better than the same 2-3 beeps over and over again.

Well I gotta give it to tiger first making a better Batman forever game than the trashy sega genesis/super nes one

Paperboy was great, I could play the first 7 levels with my eyes closed - in fact after awhile that was the game. To see how far you could get with your eyes closed. Now I play this mobile game I am sick of just to collect gold and I suspect part of that has to do with Paperboy.

I had a friend who collected those, and at the peak of his collection he had around 30. I didn't get the appeal and still don't, but a collector's market is anywhere there's enough of something to collect, I guess.
