I went through multiple stages of: 1) utter confusion at Daniel doing film review 2) more confusion and shock over film's concept 3) spending 10 minutes on Google 4) having a sudden realization when Daniel started talking about Mandela effect 5) suspicion confirmed as the video dived deeper into insanity 6) patiently waiting for the punch line 7) i no longer know what is real and what isn't but I have no regrets for I have witnessed a masterpiece All jokes aside this was so freaking brilliant I am hoping to see more of these types Daniel
This video is a serious mind-trip dude. The fact that I suspected NOTHING until reading the comments goes to show how terrifyingly good Daniel is at this kinda stuff. Bravo man, you made me believe Disney made a movie about killing horse’s. Bravo.
My thoughts were along the same lines, at that point in the video I asked myself "Did Disney Really Off A Metaphorical Metric Ton Of Horses?..." I did also question the casting of Kyle Massey as the OLDER brother, considering his ethnicity and the fact he's six years YOUNGER then Ashley Tisdale.

Disney no longer has this on Disney+, and has retired it to the vault. I have the original on dvd though, which will soon be a collector’s item. The dvd bonus material includes 5 more songs about horses being killed, and an interactive game where you have to navigate a horse through a small town to the Elmer’s factory. The bonus clips do give an updated body count for the number of horses that actually died or had to be put down during the filming. The Kentucky Derby scene took so long to shoot, and they filmed it at a ranch in Arizona in the Summer - temps were over 100 degrees in the shade. All the horses died of heat stroke, and they had to complete filming the following day where temps were the same and another 32 horses ended up dying of heat stroke. The filming of the movie was somehow more tragic than the movie itself.
Oh boy I went through a process here. I watched it, believed it was real, showed my wife, had her thinking it was real, and then we told our friends, who also thought it was real, and it wasn't until we were looking it up to watch on dcom night that we all realized it was fake. Well played, my guy; you had about 10 people in one group fooled.
Hell, for five WHOLE months I tried researching and researching on this, let it go for a while concluding Disney must've covered it up, when all I could've done was a simple comment check to debunk everything. God, I am stupid.

For some reason I started thinking something was off right around when he mentioned the Mandela effect of this "movie," then I happened to see the comments and went "yep that figures." I honestly figured everything was going to be exaggerated when I saw the title of the video, so that may have helped, though I completely underestimated to what extent 😂
I think you bring up a good point about remembering shit a lot differently when you were younger. As you rewatch or listen to certain things when you're older, you tend to notice new things.

He had me believing it was a real movie until he was talking about Robert Downey Jr. killing a truck full of horses. Now I want to see him make an idea for an actually good movie, because his purposely terrible movie idea was phenomenally well done.
I fully thought this was just an early millennial dcom I had NEVER heard of until this point, but it sounded JUST crazy and weirdly sentimental enough to be an out-of-pocket tv movie, but halfway through I honestly felt like I was having a stroke because there is no way there is real. I can't believe I was fooled for as long as I was! It feels like schrodinger's cat, where as long as I don't google it, it both exists and doesn't.
@@pirilon78 the op made an actually good comparison. If it's not observed, then the cat is in a superposition of alive and dead state. If the movie is not searched, the movie's existence is in a superposition of made up and actually real. Until we Google it to observe of it exists, the states fall into one possibility that is... Yknow what enough quantum physics my brain already hurts from optimisation algorithms.

It's a shame this has fewer views than many of other of Daniel's sketches. This is wonderfully creative and outside of Daniel's normal wheelhouse. If anyone reads the comments, pass on the message that he's really good at this type of meta non-musical humor and if he wants to do more, he totally should
After reviewing the events of the movie (and taking each unknown as 10 deaths given each were group related) I can say roughly 70+ horses died in the creation of this film.
I'm very scared, and very impressed, that not a single time I doubted that this was a real movie being described, despite every single outrageous detail that denoted the very non-existence of the story. From a the quantity of apparent dead horses to Hulk Hogan to the very obvious Malcom in the Middle clips, I legitimately believed Daniel and didn't realize otherwise until I skimmed the comments for funnies. I might survive in this world for long.
Also, the Ashley Tisdale clip is from High School Musical I'm sure. I read the comments before seeing the videos of I don't know if it would have fooled me or not.

In fairness. It's hardly uncommon for there to be a movie that is male-led and does not a love interest either. Hollywood loves cramming romance in every movie they can regardless of the leads gender.
The only reason I didn’t think this was real was because I recognized almost every clip that was shown and it’s mighty suspicious if there is no actual footage of this horse murder movie

I remember this movie. I was watching it when I was a kid with my sister in our van that could play movies (where did that technology GO) for a road trip to go see family. The euthanasia song for horses bothered me but my sister didn’t really know what was going on, she was too young, and the sniping scene was all implied, but when the drowning scene came on there was no more hiding it. My sister realized what was happening and cried intensely for the dead horses. It got so bad that we had to pull over to the side of the road and comfort her saying it was ok and it wasn’t real, but she didn’t want to continue the movie, she was too sad. They ended up putting another dvd on, I don’t quite remember what it was but I BELIEVE that it was the Princess Bride. She enjoyed that one a lot more and it calmed her down but I never did see the end to Hay is for Highschool. Thank you Daniel for dredging up this pain-filled memory and giving me some closure about all the hoof-filled horrors.

Specifically I remember the Red Bull standing in my doorway being a reoccurring dream. Thanks to that I still have never tried a red bull energy drink before and don't plan on it
The creature actually is called "The Red Bull," and I love that movie. It was The Neverending Story that freaked the sht out of me and gave me nightmares 🥶😨😱 tho, gotta say, the harpy and old woman were also freaky af

Thought this was a legit Disney movie I had completely missed growing up and was ready to go complain to my mom for not letting me watch it (for obvious reasons though) and I googled it to see how old I would have been when it came out ONLY to realise that it doesn't exist... congrats on getting a lot of people to google something completely random Daniel, makes me feel really gullible lol. Also, yes, this is definitely content we need more of! This was so well done and well made that I loved every minute of this gruesome plot. You doing this type of stuff is going to be amazing!!!! As a non-American. I can say that I am forever mortified. I have never in my life heard of such a movie. This video feels like a fever dream. Not American, but this is just a skit lol, the movie isn’t real. _But_ Disney has in the past: drowned an entire herd of lemmings and filmed it (they said the lemmings “committed suicide”), killed 5 puppies, and (not Disney) but on the set of Ben Hur, over 100 horses were killed for just one scene
