Heya Everyone, hope you all enjoyed this video. Definitely one of my more chaotic vids for sure XD. But what do you all think of this game?? Has it aged well in your opinion?? Also in case you were wondering, at around 4:09-4:18, had too use different music for it, due too copyright claim. Soo if it sounded a bit odd, that's why. Just thought i clarify that

This is probably the Pixar game I have the most to say about. I've already mentioned that my parents got the PC version for me and it ran at no more than 10fps on my PC and it pretty much taught me about the importance of framerates and PC specs. As for the actual game, I was surprised that we mostly agree on it, although I do disagree on 2 counts. For one, I really loved the ball rolling level as a kid and replayed it over and over, it was easily my favorite level of the game. Secondly, I actually think the first 2 omnidroid battles are a highlight of the game. Yes I acknowledge that they are hard as balls and take forever and they roadblocked me for weeks when I first played the game at age 9. Yet, I look back fondly on them. I had never fought a boss that required as much endurance as the omnidroids at that point in my gaming career and it was the first time a boss felt uneatable to me. I remember struggling to take down one healthbar just to feel my heart sink when I realized I had to take down 2 more and do it all one go. But in retrospect, I love how satisfying it felt to finally beat it. It doesn't rely on rigid patterns or weak points, it's a battle of attrition that takes consistent effort to beat. I don't like the Bomb Voyage. or the final omnidroid battle for that sake, but the first and second are among my favorite boss battles in history and I always look forward to playing them. I can also confirm that the battle mode is included in the PC version and unlocks just like the GC and PS2 versions.

This is one of the games that should have been made backwards compatible for Xbox One, if only because of the opportunity to add back in the Arena mode for the Xbox version. I have genuine nostalgia for this game since I was in preschool in GameCube, and even revisiting it on Xbox, it was a treat to relive my favorite licensed movie game. Also Rise of the Underminer should have also been made backwards compatible for Xbox One.

As fan of the Incredibles movie and as a Pixar fan I really enjoy this game. While some of the character models can look a little weird at times especially MR Incredibles. I think the gameplay, cutscenes, and graphics are very good. Dash's levels are also some of my favorite levels in the game. I first played this game on the GameCube and I also played the PS2 version. Now I'm gonna be playing it on the original Xbox and PC.

Just found this channel and really glad I did. There are so many reviews on the new COD, Destiny, Halo multiplayer career games nowadays. And it’s honestly just refreshing and relaxing to listen to content about games from what I consider to be a simpler time. Games that make you talk about the single or local coop fundamentals as opposed to the (now) grinding multiplayer matchmaking.

Again, like Finding Nemo, the PS2 version is a middle ground between the Xbox and Gamecube versions graphically. Not gonna lie, I kind of wish the Xbox version was made backwards compatible so that the Horde mode could've gotten restored on that version. Personally, I didn't find the last few levels extremely difficult (except for maybe a huge enemy gauntlet in the penultimate stage, involving a turret you needed to use), just mind-numbingly long and repetitive. But the Violet stage can screw off. I don't think I've ever beaten it without the Tonyloaf cheat.
@CrystalOmega
@CrystalOmega 2 года назад
It actually is at least backwards compatible with the 360, however it doesn't have the horde mode unfortunately. ):

@@CrystalOmega Yeah the 360 backwards compatibility didn't give any games their lost DLC back. Neither did the Xbox One BC...at least at first, because eventually games like Splinter Cell and Star Wars Battlefront II were patched to include it.

I had this game and absolutely loved it! I have many fond memories of it 🎉 another game i didn't complete but mainly because it got repetitive as the game went so i liked playing the beginning 😅 also btw Heavy Iron studios are an interesting developer I've played a few of there games and each of there games are different but feel the same, also they reuse the incredibles buttons noises in the xbox 360 version of Wall.E 🤗

As shown on 2:34 rehydrated means the same thing as remake. A video game remake is a video game closely adapted from an earlier title, usually for the purpose of modernizing a game with updated graphics for newer hardware and gameplay for contemporary audiences. Typically, a remake of such game software shares essentially the same title, fundamental gameplay concepts, and core story elements of the original game, although some aspects of the original game may have been changed for the remake. Remakes are often made by the original developer or copyright holder, and sometimes by the fan community. If created by the community, video game remakes are sometimes also called fangames and can be seen as part of the retro gaming phenomenon. A remake offers a newer interpretation of an older work, characterized by updated or changed assets. For example, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D for the Nintendo 3DS are considered remakes of their original versions for the Nintendo 64, and not a remaster or a port, since there are new character models and texture packs. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD for Wii U would be considered a remaster, since it retains the same, albeit updated upscaled aesthetics of the original. A remake typically maintains the same story, genre, and fundamental gameplay ideas of the original work. The intent of a remake is usually to take an older game that has become outdated and update it for a new platform and audience. A remake will not necessarily preserve the original gameplay especially if it is dated, instead remaking the gameplay to conform to the conventions of contemporary games or later titles in the same series in order to make a game marketable to a new audience. For example, for Sierra's 1991 remake of Space Quest, the developers used the engine, point-and-click interface, and graphical style of Space Quest IV: Roger Wilco and The Time Rippers, replacing the original graphics and text parser interface of the original. However, other elements, like the narrative, puzzles and sets, were largely preserved. Another example is Black Mesa, a remake built entirely from the ground up in the Source Engine that remakes in-game textures, assets, models, and facial animations, while taking place in the events of the original Half-Life game. Resident Evil 2 (2019) is a remake of the 1998 game Resident Evil 2; while the original uses tank controls and fixed camera angles, the remake features "over-the-shoulder" third-person shooter gameplay similar to Resident Evil 4 and more recent games in the series that allows players the option to move while using their weapons similar to Resident Evil 6. The word 'remake' basically means a completely new game based on an older game, usually a classic. But there are variations on how this is defined. Rebuilding using modern technology Videogame remakes in the classic sense could almost be viewed as a process of painting by numbers. Many of these projects will simply take the original game's mechanic loops and ideas, and rebuild them using modern technology, with better controls and often new assets, with the result usually being an experience you’re familiar with - but much more polished. Great examples of this type of remake are the likes of the Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, MediEvil and Shadow of the Colossus remakes, which in their new guise are visual recreations that bear an uncanny resemblance to their original retro counterparts but aren't exactly the same game. See also the Wii U's Zelda: Wind Waker remake, which has a slightly different art style, and adds the option for faster sailing around its seas. Same idea, different execution Now, though, we're starting to see total remakes that are more than just a better version of the original. They're essentially different games, even if they use the same story, setting, music, art style or gameplay ideas. We might not have our hands on it just yet, but the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake is looking to be a prime example of this, ditching the traditional turn-based shenanigans of the original and instead using the mechanics of modern Final Fantasy titles. Regardless of Final Fantasy VII’s complete overhaul, Cloud will hopefully still slip into that cute purple dress like he’s supposed to. Resident Evil 2's 2019 remake, too, is designed to mirror the original as much as possible, but instead of the 1998 version's fixed camera angles, it's a more modern over-the-shoulder third-person shooter. This approach shows how you can give people a comfortable dose of nostalgia while still making a best-in-class game for today's players. No wonder Resident Evil 3 is getting the same treatment.

Keep up the good content! Would like to see what you come up with with the Scooby-Doo game as well as Battle for bikini bottom! I remember playing both of those on the original Xbox and the PlayStation 2! I actually think I just picked up a copy of the Scooby-Doo game maybe 3 months ago? Just to add to the collection But anyways keep up the good work!

dude I had the same frustration as yours in the Omnidroid Boss fight level. These are the pain in the ass when playing on both PC and Xbox (using modded X360). Violet's level is also hard but not as the same level as the boss fights. I'm also a fan of The Incredibles movie too because I've watched it so many times at home.

I always wanted to play this game when I was little, but I never did because of the T rating and my parents assuming it would be too difficult (they were right). It had wasted potential, but for a licensed video game manufactured to make a quick buck, it looks like they did a very decent job with it. Great looking graphics for a game of its kind and era.

I’ve played the PS2 version, and it’s definitely better than the GameCube version. In fact, I don’t recommend the GameCube version at all, because of its downgrades compared to the other versions. Graphically, it loses practically every ounce of lighting effects. Worst of all, the framerate is cut to 30FPS, with only two levels running at 60FPS? It’s a peculiar version. In fact, The SpongeBob Movie Game (by the same developer), had a GameCube version with these exact issues, though not as bad as the GameCube version of The Incredibles. Instead, about 70% of the game runs at 60FPS, with the rest of the levels running at 30, which doesn’t happen in the other console versions. They are 60FPS across the board on both PS2 and Xbox. Thankfully, the PS2 version of The Incredibles does not have these problems. It has the lighting and it runs at 60FPS throughout, like the Xbox version. You might expect to see inferiorities compared to Xbox in certain areas, but it’s a solid version, much better than the GameCube version. I wouldn’t say the port is as bad as the one for Finding Nemo, but it’s by no means good. Heavy Iron’s best effort on the console is easily Battle for Bikini Bottom.

Ah, I couldn't STAND that Violet level when I was younger! First playthrough, after several highly frustrating failures, I actually used cheat codes to skip that level (something I only rarely did), that was how much I struggled! I finally played through the whole game including that level when I was at university, like, a decade ago; and even then I still had an absolute time of that one xD; Absolutely agree with you about the Omnidroid fights. To me the first one is *fine*; not great, but matches the movie well enough that it feels satisfying to beat. The second is completely superfluous, given that in the movie that version of it beats Bob in about ten seconds flat, and the fight being identical to the first one is tiresome. But then the third version... I grant that you need a final battle against it, that's crucial to the movie. But it really-really-REALLY needed to be a different style of level that had sub-sections for each member of the family to use their abilities, similar to how it played out in the movie, rather than being a straight repeat of the previous two fights. (As for the final climax being missing? I kinda figured that it was to avoid spoiling the ending of the movie for people who bought the game first?) I didn't actually plan to get this game originally. I had several other Pixar games as a kid - mostly the 3-pack of Toy Story 2, Bug's Life, and Monsters, Inc.: Scare Island for the PC - but I wasn't into the superhero genre when I was younger so The Incredibles as a movie kinda fell flat to me. Then one time in my teens I had to go to the nearest hospital for some assessment or other... and in the kids' waiting room they had a game console set up... and this was the game they had on it. I poked at it because I was familiar with the movie, and I was just bowled over by how FUN it was to just rampage around as Mr I.; once I got home I bought the PS2 version off eBay and generally had a good time with it. Like you say, it's definitely tedious in some places, but I was glad I got it, and it gave me a new appreciation for the movie that I'd lacked before. I think in the end I found Elastigirl's levels the most fun, though Dash's were good too ^^
