Met Mr. Hackett in Teluca Lake,California in 1988...and found him to be a real genuine sweetheart. Bright, jovial and authentic. They don't make comedians like him anymore....one of the unsung Icons. RIP.

Total BS -suckered people in to hear at the vary last seconds that "he died of Diabetes". NOT TRUE. Buddy had numerous medical issues and mental issues including severe anxiety & panic attacks. Some required paramedics at venues with a sold out crowd awaitng him to hit the stage. THEY WAITED AND FINALLY HE DID. He also drank which affected his health. Here's the sad fact, Buddy Hackett passed away alone on the beach in Malibu by his beach house and myself being his son Sandy's personal Mgr. (with his dad's blessing) my office receive hundreds of calls from the media seeking information. This video was very deceptive as it did not know or share "exactly how Buddy died aone on the beach".

Just maybe his family didn't want to leave everybody's memory of him that way. Ya know you strike me as a person that would tell the end of the joke before the person that was telling the joke! The man made many people laugh; that's not enough for you. Some people's kids!
