Remembering Christina Grimmie 

I bet had she survived the shots, her next video would have been about forgiving the guy and using the opportunity to bring awareness to mental health issues. I say that because she was that special. I subscribed to her a really long time ago, even with what little fame she had, and as short of reach as her voice was compared to other entertainers, she was always bringing awareness to some charitable cause. We should honor her by doing more to help others, she can't anymore, but we can.

This was beautiful, Tyler. I'm a music business graduate from Belmont University in Nashville, and for a while I've been considering starting a record label. Christina's passing has created a burning fire under my dream, and, if her last name isn't trademarked, I've decided to name the label Grimmie Music Group | GMG. Its mission statement will be to discover, promote, and market like-minded musicians who want to inject society with endless hope and positivity; to make the world a better place, similarly to what Christina wanted. UPDATE (7/23): I got in contact with Christina's manager, and was unfortunately denied the rights to use the surname "Grimmie" for my label. That hasn't stopped my mission of continuing to build an empire that will combat the darkness of the secular music industry, though. A simple name-change will just be needed. Meanwhile, I drafted up a 6-page outline and I met up with the chief executive officer and the directors of the A&R department over at Centricity Music, to discuss what next steps are needed. More updates to come! UPDATE (8/28): I've settled on a new name, however it will be kept under wraps for now. I was also able to meet up with the former A&R Director of Tooth & Nail Records (now currently one of the owners of Come & Live Records), to discuss the path he took, and what I should do similarly/differently. I've also scouted out different designs of what I want the website to look like; in addition, I am currently in the process of starting a new project (a second RU-vid channel) that will act as an additional source of income, to further assist me with the cost of starting a record label. Exciting stuff ahead!

Amid all our pain and loss, sadness and grief Raging at God for taking her so soon The hardest part to remember is to thank Him For blessing us with her presence for as long as He did.

You know how when you pick flowers, you always pick the most beautifull ones, not the half-grown, or the small ones. You pick the biggest and most beautifull one to take home with you. God does the same thing with people. She is in a much better place now.

I miss her. I never knew her and unfortunately, and it breaks my heart saying it, I never will. But I've been a fan of her for 6 years. I remember always watching her videos and listening to her beautiful voice with one of my friends. I wasn't following her on every social platform there is but I was always coming back to her songs. A few days before the tragedy I thought about her.. I never understood the effect these youtube videos have on you and the link that creates between you and someone you're watching. I never lost a friend or someone very close to me but I feel like I've experienced that pain this past weekend. I'm heartbroken. I hope she's in a better place and I wish just the best to her family.. :(

I have not known her before her death. Sadly she was not that known in Germany. I would have been gad to be at one or all three of her concerts here. After hearing the News about "a singer got shot down after her concert" i wanted to know more. I make music myself - not successfull, but I love it - so first it just interested me. Who was that Girl? She looked beautiful. Could not believe someone shot at her? It was about 5 am in the morning here. The Rest of that morning I have taken to just get to know her. Get to know her beautiful voice and her just amazing way to talk to her community and her feelings that she sent out together with her music. That were some really amazing hours and I began to pray for her life ... - I have not prayed before, I am no fan of god. Somewhen that day I read the message of her passing. It made my cry so badly. Why? Always asked why... She touched me with the first words i heard: "Hi, its Christina!" (- cover of Sia´s Elastic heart) My heart was bleeding as i heard her music. Such an beautiful voice, such an beautiful soul... Hours of videos, of that amazing voice. I even now can not process what happened. I would have loved to meet her. Since that I hear her everyday... tears in my eyes. I am so sorry for your loss Tyler. If it hurts me that bad... - how must you feel with that? I think nearly noone can imagine how you feel... I don´t know what I wanted to tell you with that in my bad english - i am sorry. But i always will remember her, even if I have not known her. Such a beautiful, talented, angelic woman. She spreaded such a warm, lovely feeling. So much positive energy and ... i don´t know how to discribe, but everyone, who had ever listened to her and is not made of stone, will know what I mean. I think Christina was for all of us a very important part of in our lifes. No matter if she was a sister, a friend or just the girl from RU-vid who lived her dream and became a huge inspiration for so many people. I have never met her but I know her videos since the beginning. Never have seen such a great personality before. She is the reason why I'm so in love with music today and I'm thankful for every moment she shared with the world. Sometimes it's hard to understand why such an amazing person has to pass away. But I think it's important to know that we will always remember her as the beautiful girl with the angelic voice, as the girl who was always smiling and I bet she still does. I will always keep her in my heart and always think about her when I will do my music. And to you Tyler, always stay strong. I still can't believe it..I've been listening to more and more of her music this year. It helped me relax while being deployed in Afghanistan. I'd listen to her music every morning before mission and every night when I was back and showering..I can't believe she won't make any more music or another cover ever again

She has truly been one of my biggest inspirations for starting my RU-vid channel and the fact that she's gone... Sometimes I can't believe this actually happened since after your tragedy I began watching your RU-vid videos which brought me to tears knowing that you aren't with us in this world anymore. Watched a lot of in memoriam videos of Christina, and I've (mostly) unconsciously started mimicking her 2 fingered salute whenever I say bye to people. I used to always do a mock-salute since my time in the army, but having been heavily influenced by this, I kinda like it. It's such a small thing, but it's my little way of remembering her by.

This past week I couldn't watch her videos or other videos about her without crying. This is the first time since Christina's death that I watch a video about her and don't cry but smile. It's starting to sink in that all this was real, she's gone. I miss her sooo much. I never had the chance to meet her but I feel like I lost a good friend. I discovered her through a Katy Perry cover. I think it was ET by Katy Perry. Then I started watching every cover she made. She was the first youtuber I ever followed. Such a beautiful voice, a beautiful young woman. She didn't deserve this. We will not forget you, you're gone but not forgotten. I'll keep watching your videos.
