The Treasure Island Museum deeply regrets to announce that our longtime Board member, benefactor and past President Claire Isaacs Wahrhaftig passed away on December 31, 2023.
Claire was a leader and an inspiration to the museum over the past 26 years, and a naming donor to our newest gallery. She was President of Stagebridge, and previously served the City of San Francisco as Executive Director of the Arts Commission.
Claire was indescribable. But here we offer you a brief example of the energy and enthusiasm she brought to the Museum and her many other causes. This video is edited from a presentation on the history of the Museum that she and other Board members gave on September 21, 2013.
A memorial celebration is planned for this spring.
