I’m reading this now and it made me an Iron Man fan. The story is soooo great. But the art, geez! Tony Stark sometimes looks like Johny Depp sometimes he looks like the My Pillow guy. But the armor looks amazing and the action scenes looks great.
Let's hope our continuing fight w the powers that be,gets as an omnibus sooner rather than later Dogg! Srsly one of the top 3-4 omnis i want and can't believe marvel still hasn't printed!
I haven’t finished this entire run but have read a great deal of it. I feel like it’s not talked about enough! So excited to see a dedicated video on this run today 💪👏 Probably my favorite iron man run I’ve read 🤔📚
I remember this run so fondly because it was the first series that wasn't a Spider-Man book that I began reading after having read nothing between elementary school and my third year of high school. I remember distinctly walking into a Half Price Books store with a friend who wanted to see what Batman back issues they may have, seeing the cover art on Volume 1 of the trade paper backs and buying it immediately on that cover alone. It's one of the first full runs I ever read and even in its weaker moments it manages to feel cinematic and is a story that exceeds the medium its being told in. Between this and Brubaker's run on Captain America, especially the Bucky-Cap stuff post Civil War, this is still one of my favorite eras of the Marvel Comics timeline because of books like these. Great review as always!
That’s the problem with Larocca he’s just one big tracer his Star Wars art is awful but other than that the run looks good and for Iron man I feel like there’s not that much to go to I’m glad you finally got to say your but for arguably your most wanted omnibus
I really liked the storyline but I don’t think it was really needed to be here. Yo know what I mean. I think it was just a book to try to get people to like Tony after civil war and I kinda worked
My problem with iron man is it always seems like the same story of either him losing his money or someone using his tech against him. I haven't read this run but this video has made me want to give it a shot
Regardless if you didn't quite enjoy as much as the last time you read it I know if a omni gets announced you'll buy it.😂Somehow cannot see the trades finishing out Iron man doesn't seem to have many classic runs compared to other characters.
