Halbert began competing in AMA Pro Flat Track's Harley-Davidson GNC1 presented by Vance & Hines class in 2004 and wore the National No. 69. The Puyallup, Washington native was not only a great rider on the track, but he was well liked within the paddock as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and the entire AMA Pro Flat Track community during this difficult time.

I have not been able to find the right words to express the loss I feel to our family, words just do not seem like enough. I am proud to say I am Jethro's uncle, what an amazing guy, if more people were like him this world would be a much better place. Anyone who knew him knows what a loss this is not only to society but to the world of motorcycle racing. This is a beautiful video, I find it impossible not to cry when I watch it but I am thankful for those involved with putting it together. (Thank You) RIP Jethro Halbert, you will be forever missed by all of us that knew you, but your spirit & soul live on in each of us..

The loss of a family member is never easy especially when it's your brother who you ride with and compete against. My heart still breaks for Sammy and the Halbert family even though three years have passed since the Flat Track Racing community lost Jethro. His number is also synonymous with Nicky Hayden another fellow racer, they're both so dearly loved by the Flat Track Racing community. God speed and Ride on Jethro.

God bless the Halbert family and Sammy who now wears the National number 69 in memory and respect for Jethro. Sammy earned the right to wear a single digits number that's why he wore the 7 . after Jethro's passing Sammy Halbert chose to honor his brother by wearing the 69 . it made me an instant fan of his and I hope he can win the number 1 plate for Jethro ! Hats off to you Sammy for your loving tribute to your brother. Alan Perdue brother of Scott Perdue RIP

As much as I like you and respect you as an organization for uploading all your content for free on RU-vid it disappoints me how you've deleted the footage of Jethro's crash. When it comes to fatal racing crashes watching them can teach you how to ride, how to race and it can show the industry what should be done to improve the rider's safety During my lifetime watching races I have seen several fatal crashes live on TV. The deaths of Shoya Tomizawa (Moto2) and Craig Jones (WSS) taught me that it is usually better to protect your head and try to curl up once you're in the ground while Marco Simoncelli's (MotoGp) crash taught me that if I can't stand up I shouldn't crawl to move away from the incident. Finally, the first motorbike fatal crash I saw was the death of Daijiro Katoh (MotoGp) and, while I only watched the actual accident days later thanks to spectator footage, I'm quite sure bailing out of his bike, while extremely dangerous, would've given him a better chance to survive Don't hide serious incidents. Both fans and young riders must know that *racing is dangerous*, that accidents are bound to happen and that sometimes you can do something to make things a bit less worse

***** Your lack of respect is astounding! You would do well to drop it for the time being.

Scooter Lee The disrespectful thing is to erase history. I am just saying other racers, young ones, can learn from serious crashes. By erasing them you only create a new generation of racers that think the worst thing that can happen to them is a couple of broken bones

***** Perhaps voicing your opinion on a different upload would be more appropriate at this time!

***** Totally inappropriate. Im sure the Halbert family doesn't want that footage online.

What a stupid and disrespectful comment from you Diego. As a good friend of Jethro and Sam no one wants to see that nor re live that horrible night it's hard enough to try and rap our heads around the fact that he is no longer with us let alone watch it. If you seriously sit on RU-vid and watch fatal crash video's there is something seriously wrong with you. #godspeed69
