I am sorry to find out about Matt. I fell in love in the scene where his character put the soldiers fears above his own injuries in Bloomers. His character was one that I identify with. Allen Hollinghurst put it this way when he described being a middle aged single man in the gay community. "I find i'm applying myself to a subtler connoisseurship of the out of season, days without warmth, nights without encounter and the violence of the tides" . Matt had an ability put a calming handful of hope back into me. He was quite a talent. It is sad to think we won't see more from this amazing person.
Hi Rob, I’m trying to learn from Matt’s life, incorporate those skills and talents into myself whenever I can. I often ask myself, “what would Matt do?“. I asked that question about his late mother also, “What would Hilda do?” One thing I know for sure is that Matt was one of those people who left this world a better place then he found it. ❤️
