Matthew Perry’s ‘Odd Couple’ co-star, Yvette Nicole Brown, opens up to ET’s Nichelle Turner about her favorite memories of the late actor. She also reveals how she heard the news and the legacy Matthew leaves behind.
I can't even imagine the loss knowing him personally. I tear up every time I think of him or see things like this video... He was one of my favorite people in entertainment. I have admired his strength & talent. RIP Matthew Perry. He will be sorely missed. 💔😭🙏🕊 Thank you Yvette Nicole Brown❤🫂🫂🫂 My sincerest condolences. I love you too.
There was picture of Mathew molding the lamp from the Epic lamp scene in Friends. I swear the flannel shirt he was wearing is the same one in Yevette’s favorite personal pic of her Matthew.? RIP to one of tHe few actors that can make me laugh out loud. Hope the legacy he wanted to be remembered is continued and his kindness continues to support and help those that are so desperate to escape from. With love and respect.
I have been reading a lot of beautiful tributes to Matthew Perry. This has got to be the most loving of them all. Thank you for sharing your memories Yvette and leaving us with the person he was. And loved you on the show.
This is a really beautiful, heartfelt tribute by Yvette. She captured the essence of Matthew in his later years. I suspect he had much more in him to give but I am thankful that he was here. Rest in peace Matthew, may your beautiful and somewhat tortured soul, find peace 💔💕🌹
Wow--few people are able to articulate their grief as beautifully as what Yvette did here. That was so profound. What an amazing expression of love and appreciation from one human soul to another. Thank you for sharing this.
I was able to be in the audience for one tapping of Odd Couple. I was most impressed with Yvette’s acting and Matt made a few funny comments directly to the audience. RIP Matty.
Holy... I'm crying with Yvette. She was very lucky to have worked with him and knew him. He was just a lovable guy. I have not heard of anyone who had worked with him ever say anything bad about him.
Thank you to Yvette, recently at work I had a colleague that diagnosed with terminal cancer and I only knew him for a year and it was hard for me to deal with someone that I only knew briefly. My condolences.
It’s so sad and depressing tragedy story of Matthew Perry he was such a great joy in everyone because he was such a great person a hero a leader a great actor a friend and a wonderful personality that he has god bless you up to the lord and we all will always be here for you
I'm still torn up by his passing and I didn't even know him personally. This is the first interview I've seen about Matthew where I've felt real emotion from the guest. You could tell she really loved and admired Matthew. So many of the other interviews seemed so fake. I liked that she said she wished she had reached out more (that's honestly my biggest shock, especially after his book came out when everyone saw how lonely he was, but people, his "friends", didn't reach out to him) but loved that she said she made sure to tell him that she loved him. I really wish all these people had gone to him though, sat with him, and didn't let him have a chance to be lonely or alone. I think it would have made a huge difference.
Very beautiful tribute Yvette! Honestly, you can tell he was a really nice normal guy, I felt like I knew him, just a sweet guy. He was a fighter, friend and tried to help people. Will miss you Matthew.
Mathew was and always will be remembered as a great loving man. Loved his character on FRIENDS as Chandler. He was funny as the others too were. He seem to be a type of person who everyone would love to have as a friend. We all miss him. I never got to meet him, but I did visit where he is resting in peace and knocked at his stone (wall) and just told him how much he will be missed. Too bad he did not have any children. May he rest in peace. How I wished my daughter who is an actress and is on the June 2024 Wagovy Commercial wearing a white blouse (sorry, proud dad here) would have met him in person. Maybe give her some tips. Love you Chandler!! Rest in Peace buddy. #Friends
Why must people post unkind and hurtful comments at the loss of another human being who brought joy to so many? I do not understand. And I am grateful I do not understand.
