He went quietly and was always self effacing as a person who continues to contribute millions of dollars to children's charities through his food business. Newman's class was always something to shoot for because he was a great human being.
Hombre was great and Newman was excellent in it. Laconic, understated, brilliant. It ranks among his best work in many classics, i.e., Hud, Cool Hand Luke, Butch Cassidy, The Verdict et al. I'm just thankful we had him around as long as we did. Miss the man and his acting.
@@waynej2608 Richard Boone certainly held his own with Newman in this movie. Grimes: "Mister, you got a lot of hard bark on you ... coming down here like this. Now, I owe you. You put two holes in me." Russell: "That's usually enough for most of "em." This Western had great dialogue throughout.
