situations and by proxy t-hunt (because they used the same bot system) had to be removed. the framework was so old it was a better use of resources to remake the mode for modern siege. they probably could make a modern rainbow six pve game (not extraction), but don't get mad at the siege direction. This is a comp fps, any non pvp mode is largely ignored by the vast majority of players.

Did you forget the lords ability? "The Turret"? ubisoft removed

Siege was never siege to begin with. It’s been a game wearing siege’s skin.

What I miss most is having multiple at once, the amount of times while getting footage for this I had my entire team and then the entire enemy team all on recruit just because he got picked was astonishingly beautiful

The fancy gadgets are why he was questioned by the feds to begin with. Some like that Albino chicks holograms are bit too much, but shit like tiny drones and heartbeat sensors kinda fit

Especially with those Stadium games you could tell they were trying to go Overwatch: Ignore the plot and spar for the hell of it. The softball tournament is even more stupid when you know *why* they usually wear masks during work: Retaliation. Jean Pierre killing Abdul the Childimpaler may lead to Jaffar Goatfiddler seeking revenge on him or anyone he knows.

when my mate who is into R6S said that last part it blew my mind. who on earth wrote that into the "lore" and what were they on? its such a bafflingly stupid choice that goes against the entire idea of the who the characters and org are.

This. Every operator added after the first few "new" ones just seemed out of place to me. Never got much into the game as the contrast between my more grounded expectation and the absolute mess of operators and skins just put me off

Aside from being in a world with more advanced tech, the powers just started becoming ridiculous. Iana, Fenrir, Tub, gridlock's isn't big enough to fit those spikes. So many newer characters are changed to be interesting fun and useful without fitting the original aesthetic. Same with the outfits. Yeah we had fun event cosmetics but most the skins anymore are ridiculous looking or garbage looking universals

all guns, no way. the siege devs will never allow players to select from every weapon. guns are a balancing tool, otherwise most players would run 3 speed recruit w/ the r4c.

@@drjamaymay405 you forgot every gun in the original recruit had NO atachments (includng sights) and they were restricted to a specific "Organization" (Can't remember what they were actually called) some orgs had 2 speed 2 armor with specific weapons selection, other had 1 speed 3 armor with also a specific weapon selection besides, who the hell is going to TRYHARD RECRUIT? (well,maybe me a little if i could have used him in ranked back in the day with my friends), i loved original recruit because i could use *almost* whatever i wanted (couldnt have access to newly added gadgets and DLC guns) and look like a little goofball, rare cases when everyone goes recruit just because i picked him up first i just wanted THAT Recruit back with all of the flexibility of choice in weapons and gadgets with the mentioned downsides he had originally Most importantely, MY SHIELD RECRUIT

@@mrdezel2919 that version of recruit got removed 4 years ago. And having access to attachments is way better. A shield recruit is the only thing missing, but they are proposing to add thermite shield so that's good enough for me.

Well you see on console there was an exploit involving select fire Thus it was removed from all versions instead of fixing it

loved? Recruit still works the same way, you get 2 secondary gadgets and basic weapons. siege was always a hero shooter anyways. In fact, you could argue it was ever more gimmicky early on with lean/strafe abuse. the game is significantly slower now.

It will, and you can play situations all you want. No T-Hunt though, have to be connected to wifi for that, which no longer exists

There's always a bigger fish

So recruit used to be something only accessible in the noncompetitive modes. You could get your whole team on him at once and you could get pretty much any gadget as both your secondary gadget and your unique. I.e. flash bangs and frags, breach charges and claymores, etc. Contrary to other characters that have a gadget and a unique ability/gadget that only that character can get

​@@ishaqedrees5849He was also able to get an weapon from any faction for the most part. Like the FBI's rifle or the Spetsnaz SMG or a riot shield. I me be remembering wrong but you could also pick his armor class too but again I might be wrong.

I miss the days of going into ranked, playing hostage on plane, and doing a recruit rush while laughing with my friends
