Wow, what a blast from the present! This game was my adulthood.

Just started playing this game with my son. He absolutely loves swinging through the city. I think one thing a lot of these spiderman games have done very well over the years is improving the movement. All your movement and abilities feel so fluid.

Miles Morales was the first game I played on my PS5 back in the day.

Going through Miles Morales, just got a PS5. Loving it. With you on the model for Peter Parker, yeah, not cool - change it back please Insomniac.

I remember finally getting a PS5 in April 2022 and playing Miles morales, what an experience, somehow completely forgot those games even happened it’s been so long!! Really solidified my late teens

Man, really interesting to see this point of view, this is probably an unpopular opinion but, my biggest gripe on the first spider man on PS4 was the character model for Peter Parker, so I ended up liking the one on PS5, but I can see why you like the original, on Miles Morales, that was my first game playing on the PS5 and I spent hours looking at the Christmas tree on miles apartment lol such a gorgeous game

What a coincidence! I just got my hands on miles morales on sale for 30 bucks and beat it in three days. What a great game. Though not worth the 50 dollar price tag it’s at now. That steal I got at 30 was 110% worth the purchase. And spider man PS4 is possibly my personal favorite game I have played since fallout 4.

Love these games. I feel the same way about the new Peter Parker model, another reason I can’t find him that believable as a replacement is that he looks so much younger. Peter in these games is already an experienced Spider-Man, he’s not fresh out of high school like Tom Holland

I was so happy to see this finally get released on PC. It's one of a handful of games I had on PS4 before selling it off that I missed. Now just need Uncharted and Ghost of Tsushima to make their way over and I won't miss that system anymore

I dont remenber there being levels in suits just an unlockable skill that you can use in every suit once unlocked.

I really don't mind the new face anymore. It took some time to get used to, but after playing the remaster, I adjusted to it. I can't believe people are still complaining about this 2 years later. Just let yourself get used to it. No, they should not change it back. It's too late for that now. I'm glad that when they decided to change the face that they made a new version of the original so that we'd have consistency across all the games. If they changed it back now, we'd no longer have that. I agree that Miles should have been a bit longer though. One gripe I have with the game is that they reveal Prowler's identity too quickly. I know we all know who it is thanks to the Spiderverse movie, but it still felt too quick. The moment you see him for the first time he reveals who is. And he's only referenced once before in a police file you see. It's like with Octavius in the first game. Sure, we all knew he was going to become the bad guy, but the reveal still felt good because of the attention they gave to it. We didn't need THAT much build up for Prowler, but we deserved something.

Also as a game, DmC was good. As a narrative, and a DMC game it was pretty poor. But the developers definitely knew how to make fun combat.

What happened to remembering the "ARKHAM GAMES" seriously, nobody ever talks about how they created the most integral part of the fighting system for Spider-man, shadow of Mordor, and their sequels.

I loved Spiderman and the remaster too. I agree the new Peter looks so bad. Otherwise the game is great. Miles Morales is great too. I loved just PowerA and the combat. but wow is that actor’s Spanish horrible. It sound’s really bad. They did get the rest of the vibe though. I enjoyed it otherwise.

Everyone should give this game a try if you're able to! Everything about this game is top notch in quality, and the story itself is more heartfelt than I was expecting. As far as nitpicks, if you're not much into "busy work" when it comes to side content in your open world games, that can get repetitive and tiresome at times in this game, but even then, you're not really going to care because of how insanely fun and addictive it is to swing around New York! That never for a second got old. Give this game a try! You'll not be disappointed!

I want to add that I love the detail in MM when Miles lands on a point he wobbles a bit and when he's web swinging he flails a bit because he's so inexperienced. It's a nice detail when they could've just given him the same cycle as Peter.

These are newer games than what is usually shown on Retro Rebound but i'll take it, Insomniac totally nailed building on the foundation that Treyarch established in 2004 and i'm just going to say it, Yuri Lowenthal is the best Spider-Man portrayal that has ever been done, he nails the quips, he nails the serious moments and he is really likeable as the character :)

If I remember right, the official explanation for the face change had something to do with the original face model's bone structure not being a good match to Yuri Lowenthal's own facial bone structure. They were able to hide this pretty well with the less graphically advanced tech on the PS4, but when making the jump to the PS5, the more advanced tech made the inconsistencies between the face model and Yuri's own motion capture more noticeable, to the point where it really became a problem. So with the old face essentially being unusable now, they had to find a new model with a facial bone structure that was closer to Yuri's. This is the result. Personally, I'm fine with the change. I liked the old face, but I honestly don't have a problem with the new one. I was actually surprised at how quickly I was able to get used to it. If you put a gun to my head and forced me to pick, then sure, I like the old face better, but I can still see this new Peter Parker as Peter Parker, and given the choice between a face change and a voice change, I'll happily take the face change.

With all the surprisingly fun side content I never noticed how short miles morales is. And the combat and movement in it is way better in my opinion than 2018. Both are some of the best games I've ever played and can't wait for 2.

I was just a kid at only 26 years old when the first insomniac spiderman game dropped can't believe I'm just about 30 NOW. Where in the hell did those years go. Back then the world was my oyster I was only 4 years into marriage with two kids while finishing up my undergrad and two thirds of the way to my mid life crisis, and barely knee in deep in my first existential crisis. Hard to believe how things change. Now I'm 7 years into marriage still somehow a father of two kids, and paying 40 percent more on rent than the market price was back then. My PS4 pro is long gone now and it feels like only a year and some change since I got my ol PS5 during the worst health crisis in the last 100 years and on the cusp of ww3....damn those were the days.

I absolutely loved figuring this game out for the first time, really was an amazing feeling getting so into the combat. And for me it was the same with Miles Morales, I legit loved it. And yeah I don't like the new face, I'm sure there will at least be mods on PC for it.

Eh... I wouldn't play this if it wasn't spiderman. The camera needs work, no reset camera angle or proper lock on Pointless puzzels and collectathon pad gameplay instead of story based side missions. Swinging may as well be automatic Combat/hit detection is floppy and they shouldnt be competing with arkham. I get that the batman games are popular but basing your ps5 games combat on your competetor's ps3 game and then not doing it quite as well is just kind of sad. The stealth sections, which are like 25% of the game for some reason, made me not want to play anymore and stealth is one of my favorite genres Music is generic movie knock off I like this game and beat it 5 times and intend to beat it again but I really hope they work on these flaws for the sequel. Cant wait for venom!

Miles is the first game with all the fat trimmed. It was kinda hard to go back to the original after 100%ing miles

I absolutely agree that Yuri is amazing as Spidey- I hear his voice whenever I read comics with an adult Spidey! Have you read the prequel novel and the sequel comic, btw? As far as I know, they're both canon. Novel is called Spider-Man: Hostile Takeover and the comic is called Spider-Man: Velocity. And I don't think the new face really isn't that bad, man. I don't see how it looks like Tom Holland, either? They're both white dudes with brown hair lmfaoo The old face looked like he was in his 30s when Pete is supposed to be 23. It's fine if you prefer it, but there's no way Insomniac is going to go back and change it AGAIN- I don't think we need a new face for Peter in each game💀. I'd say try and go into Spider-Man 2 with an open mind towards it, instead of judging it entirely off the Remaster or the one scene from Miles Morales as they'll have time to perfect it there. I expect they'll listen to some of the criticisms and make him look more stressed out and tired, at least.
