"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them." Lest We Forget
I just returned from visiting the National D Day Memorial in Bedford, Virginia. 20 brave men, who became known as "The Bedford Boys" were lost on D Day from this small town. This was truly the greatest generation. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things. God bless them all.
may we as Americans never ever forget the brave men who stormed the beaches of Normandy men like my grandfather who was shot when he landed on Omaha Beach buy machine gun who survived and healed and went back to the front lines in World War II and finish the war my grandfather was my hero and always will be along with your grandfather's as well they're My Heroes 2 we shall never ever forget them and always honor them may the Lord bless all of you who share this day of remembrance for our grandfathers this nation's greatest generation
@hahaha no Your comment is irrelevant to the original comment. As usual, there is always some fool such as yourself who has to belittle the sacrifices made by the western Allies. Nobody denies that the majority of the fighting took place on the Eastern Front, but let’s not forget that it was a massive joint effort.
Thank you to all the men n women who served..i will never forget. Lest we forget. I tell my kids one day of the brave young lads there story so there story is never forgotten.. I don't support war at all. But I want us to all remember these wars and why we should not be enemy's. If we have to fight we will cause we stand up to tyranny and for freedom. May God look after every soul who help fight for our freedoms.
I was a serving member of the 6th airborne armoured reconnaissance regiment ( airborne tanks ) .We did 2 a/b drops . Pegasus bridge and at Wessel on th e Rhine ., plus being involved in the Ardennes campagne .We were eventually disbanded in Palestine and absorbed into the 3rd Hussars . I got hit there and was eventually invalided out in late 47. Outside of some pictoral info in the museum at Pegasus Bridge our exploits seem to have been completely forgotten , except of course by those of us still around .
Allan Orpin sir I have a privilege in honor of reading your comment and from the bottom of my heart thank you thank you so very much you and your brothers who fought for this country are our nation's greatest warriors you sacrifice so much and ask for so little in return may God bless you and your family and thank you from my family and myself cuz I would not be here if it was not for Men of character and honor such as yourself and my grandfather displayed in that horrific battle thank-you thank-you sir and may God bless you
Some interesting images not seen previously especially some of the earliest in the series, esp one of the men on the beaches being mortar bombed with men hurled into the air by the explosion. Incredible. A few stray shots from WW1 and one from the Pacific theatre. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
We will never forget our soviet brave soldiers.СССР ❤ I know that soviet didn't do much the role in d day campaign but still the Soviets is one of the important cases to win the brutal war. Again CCCP
