Reminder is a multi-fx unit which is surprisingly fun! Check out Enjoy Electronics: www.enjoy-lab.... Check out Soundmit: www.soundmit.com If you want to support my work check out / bobeats #FX #Delay #Bobeats
Very kool idea, basically making an effects synth device with hands on control. As a sound designer I understand that the synth is only half the sound, effects are the other half in a studio and recording in a stereo field; live sound not so much. With my mixers failing on me, I have the chance to buy new mixers with 4 auxiliaries for effects sends, this should really give me the opportunity to expand on my synths in an economical way, where each effects device is available to all synths.
Thank you so much, Bo, for attending NAMM 2020 and covering this amazing little box. It looks to me as if it's friendly toward ANY genre of music, both in live performance environments and in the studio. The people who designed it are brilliant. Me-want-one-a-dese.
thanks Bob! This was actually shot at Soundmit in late 2019. I couldn't attend NAMM as I was afraid i'd push myself too hard. Wanted to save up energy for superbooth2020
Interesting product I've been checking it out for a while but not completely convinced. It'd be much better if BoBeats can take this home and review it properly.
Interesting unit! will add to my wish list. So if I undertood rightly can one send, for instance, delay to one synth and reverb to any other since it has 4 outputs?
@@hunterfoxen right, I guess it could be used on anything. It would be great to hear someone jamming on one of these with input coming from a drummer. Like a piezo mic on one of the drums.
@@kellymerrill5294 An FX unit of similar capability for Eurorack modular would cost more. A hardware-based unit would also cost a similar amount. The selling points in part relate to the hands-on interactivity; I can't think of anything on the market that has nice big knobs that beg to be played with, with little or no menu-diving. I'm just pointing out that it's relatively unique in what it offers (not the DSP necessarily, but rather how each section interacts and how the user feels like he or she is a part of the action. But everyone is absolutely entitled to their own opinion. :-)
So if I get this right it's basically a delay unit with a hyper accessible rang of parameters? Is there a way to have the repeats ring out and fade instead of being an infinite loop? It's still cool either way but that would be a plus.
@@BoBeats thx Bo! Great demo btw. It's interesting to see how the filters and lfo +timing can create different shapes of polyrhythms. Love the channel thanks for your uploads!💖
