www.patreon.co... They say Necessity is the mother of invention. Well when your a gun maker in a world wide economic depression you get inventive or go under. This is what Winchester and Remington did after the stock market crash in 1929. It worked out real well for them.

The Springfields went to the Marines and the Army got most of the 1917's. My Grandfather and one in WW1. My dad was issued one in OCS in WW2 and i have had 2. One issue and one , a Ted Williams from Sears.

For myself I like seeing the action of the rifle how much it kicks etcthe Bolt action and all that , much more than seeing the target I know what looks like thanks again I’m really enjoying your channel! Also living here in Texas I rarely wear a mask since the first lockdown and haven’t been vaxxed, I have family triple jabbed at home with the Covid , I’m 61 and doing fine I have got the yearly crud that I get every year for decades and it’s no big deal , anyway thanks again

Hey Sarge....Did Eddystone sporterize any of their rifles? Just wondering, cuz my kid has one that has been sporterized, but his still has the original military rear sight with the ears.

The Eddystone's were government property. The ones held over after the war stayed in the U.S. inventory. A lot were sold off after the next war. But not all. Some were left to give the South Vietnamese.

@@esquad5406, Thanks. BTW, my kid is a Sarge too, with the PD that he's with. He just finished a stint as a Homicide Detective. I think he got tired of looking at dead bodies every day. So he got out of the suit, and back to wearing the "blues".

I have a Sporterized 1917 Eddy Stone. It looks very similar to the factory set. Who ever did it, did it well. Mine had a Redfield peep.

Love to see these old guns. Right now a Remington or Eddystine will set you back 1500 Simoleons. This is a nice gun. This 30s is cool. Nice history on family heirloom.

Do you think you could do a video demonstrating how the rounds go flying out of the top of the Omega magazine?

Excellent review of a very nice Post WW1 sporting rifle. Strong action nice setup for the day and still a viable hunting arm as it sits.

How many young RU-vidrs pushed the PMag. Don’t think I ever bought any. Too many of these young RU-vidrs who never served as military or LEO think they know everything and calling anyone over 40 a Fudd. But your trash find proves their lack of knowledge.
