Me too brother and I believe yours is the same model as mine (just a different model number). Tomorrow is our 1st day of early season and I'll be taking out my Glock G40. God bless your season n stay safe.
Hello, I believe what you are hearing is that many people aren't experiencing the accuracy that you are and they are wondering what to do to achieve it. To others who may be experiencing accuracy issues try heavier or lighter weight bullets and you may find the weight bullet your rifle likes. To VA Meat Hunter one small suggestion when shooting the 30:06 or .308 at the bench be sure to position your whole body higher so your shoulder will be higher up and more in line with your rifle which will allow your whole body to manage the recoil rather than just the shoulder. Thank you for the well-done video and your polite and pleasant demeanor and also for sharing your great shooting.
I had a old rem 7400 semi years ago. I sold it was lucky to get 3 moa at 100 mostly 6moa at 100. Did everything I could think cleaned disassembly until I got so upset going through 10 boxes of ammo let it go.
I have a 7400 in 30-06 bought it in the 90's. It was shooting 4" with Remington Corelokt 150 gr. at 100 yds. It would jammed when I used the surplus ammo. I hated this gun. It was stored away for years. Recently, I am into reloading. Big surprise! Sierra GameKing 150 grs behind 49 grs IMR4064, I am getting 3/4" @ 100 yds. IMR4895 with the same bullets was just a little over 3/4". All I have is a cheap Simmons 6X scope on a Leupold std base mount and rings. Make sure the barrel is not touching the stock. The front cap where the fore end screw is not touching the barrel. The fore-end screw is torqued to about 35 in.lb. Varying the torque will vary the POI and groupings. (if the groups open up, the screw might become loose) Do not rapid firing. Take the time and let the barrel cool down after each shot. Keep the chamber clean. I clean the gun with Hoppes 9 and then clean it with Bore Tech copper remover after each range trip. Next testing will be 168 grs bullets. I think this gun can do 1/2" with the right combinations.
Thanks for the video. I really like your 7400. I had seen your other video on the rifle and the history with your dad sighting the deer and you shooting. One of my favorites. I enjoy your channel. Thx for the work.
All nice looking rifles. Good calibers. Do you ever shoot lever action or bolt action or are all your rifles in semiauto? Just curious. They all do great for ya buddy. Keep putting the lead down range 💪 Doc. God Bless
Thanks Tom and yes I have all different action rifles and they all shoot under 1" sub moa at 100 yards. You could find them on my channel, thanks for watching n God bless.
Thanks for your input brother, but most of our shooting distance in VA is between 30-70 yards. Tomorrow is our 1st of early season and I'll be taking out my Glock G40. God bless your season n stay safe.
@@vameathunter2771 Absolutely right! we don't all live and hunt in the west where shots are 400 yards. I like how you explained that with your rifle a 50 yard zero that is dead on again at 200 yards. Thank you for supporting the NRA.
