And the next album by the Materia Collective is live! I had the honor of making another track for this massive album (92 tracks and 6 discs!)
I chose Compression of Time, and decided to make it more minimalistic and ambient. I really hope you like it and I'm very excited for the next project! :D

this is by far the best interpretation of 'Compression of Time' that i've heard. It irritates me how i only know of this piece because it was included in my youtube auto playlist. I could have totally missed it out...

haa, i remember of the palace of ultimecia, a place both magical and creepy as fuck. . when you finally understand the sorceress are the ultimate power of the world off ff8, and that liona will become her, one day . . creepy.

The background vocals are probably off key on purpose, but I feel it throws off the whole composition. I loved everything except that choice about the vocals.

To be honest, I think the voice completely ruin a good part of the music. It's in complete desynch with the music notes... Otherwise, very good mix... but yeah, that voice.... -_-'

The voice actually adds a lot, tbh. It adds a discordant tone and captures the feel of Compression of Time. This isn't a relax song, its a creepy, haunting beauty.

I think this was on purpose. The vocal notes being slightly out of tune with the music notes added to the much-needed eerie mood that encompasses the entire piece, let alone creating an "erratic feeling" which is in line with the nature of "Time Kompression", don't you think? :)
