I love my Remix10. People make fun when I kayak fish out of it, but I don’t want to look like a floating porcupine. I’ve taking it down the Pecos river 5 times and loved every minute.
@@texlee1640 I would recommend getting some drybags for the front of the kayak and keep it light. Depending on the flow, the Pecos (if you are putting in at Pandale) can be low and you’ll want to keep as buoyant as possible. A good spray skirt is nice too. I bought the extra back rest after my first trip. Have fun. I miss those rivers and West Texas. My profile image is from one of those trips.
@@andylimb bags don't add buoyancy. They only prevent the boat from filling up with water when flipped. It's only then that additional bouyancy is added, you end up with an air pocket to keep it floating and easier to wet entry/ or pull it to shore... Does nothing when you are high and dry.
@@Mrjmhill agreed. I didn’t mean to imply the bags would add buoyancy. I wasn’t clear. I used the dry bags in the front for storage. I recommend keeping the gear load lite to stay higher up in the water. I carried too much gear on my first trip and had to drag more than my counterparts with larger kayaks.
Really love these boats! I only wish they still made them in solid colors as opposed to the marble colors. I’m wondering, Is this solid red (just red) model available in the 2021 line?
Bingo i refuse to paddle a multicolored boat. they have really become an eye sore, i refer to them as floating vomit. If i wanted a camo boat i would buy a fishing boat. The colors they combine now looks like camo on LSD. A couple of buddy's of mine has a Red and the yellow Remix Xp 10s
