Something I think you could add is that the jump in difficulty from Nightmare to Apocalypse isn't as drastic as Veteran to Nightmare. Therefore, if a build works in Nightmare it should also work in Apocalypse. It might need some refinement, but it's already been proven elsewhere.

I went from survivor to apocalypse and surprisingly it wasent as bad as I thought it'd be lol
@wholesomegamer

I think the jump is still significant, but having some gear and the second archetype fleshed out makes a huge difference in terms of your own "power-level".

@@wholesomegamer Unless where I got the info wrong, the difference in mob health from veteran to nightmare is a 100% increase and for bosses about 150% increase. From Nightmare to Apocalypse is just 25% more mob hp and another 100% boss hp. It's probably why Apocalypse is something you have to unlock after beating the game at least once. I can't imagine someone trying to do that on their first run. You'd be perpetually out of ammo for the entire run. Hell some builds are like that naturally.

Awesome! I'm playing Veteran right now, & it's at the point of feeling too easy. Nightmare should be my goal for the next adventure run. Max difficulty campaign sounds cool, but you're right... it might be unnecessarily intense, LoL. Could still try it, but be open to moving on to the next game on my 'to play' list. Remnant's certainly 1 I see myself coming back to in the future Cheers

For the last boss turn down the music and listen for the sound cues. Takes a while but at the end it has its own pattern

Yeah, every boss has incredible cues. Nightweavers lunge-attack for example has a very distinct brief chime to it.

I often found myself hanging on to my favorite builds to long, when the encounter or situation calls for another setup. It speaks for the game to force you into analyzing the situation and play around with the tools you have. But yeah, a "fixed" mindset can easily become a roadblock. And boy do the bosses have audio-cues to their attacks, once you turned down/off the music :-)

There is interesting difference between apocalypse and nightmare. Regular mobs on Nightmare have more HP then on Apocalypse. Apocalypse mobs deal more damage in comparison, however boss hp is higher on Apocalypse. So Apocalypse might be more fun to play since enemies that are just bullet sponges are not fun.

I’m stuck on empathy venom solo apac
@wholesomegamer
@wholesomegamer Год назад
Venom was one of my biggest obstacles too. What helped me in the end: Always circle around the two machinery blocks, this negates his sword throw and explosive arrows. Have a build that deals damage while you are doing something else - for me that was two corrosion debuffs + Nebulas Nano-Swarm (essentially my Challenger/Archon setup, video is on the channel). But Fire and including the Engineer Flame Turret would also work well. Black Cat Ring + Challenger gives you two revives minimum. And really, always hug one of the machinery blocks. I had tranquil heart + passive heal, so I never used a relic to heal in the fight and I think Empathy only gives Venom very little health-regen from your passive heal...but I don´t know the exact numbers. And turn off the music, it really, really helps.

The point of apoc is to provide a challenge for previous builds. Its possible on new characters but thats just a personal challenge and not the intended purpose.

Great tips!! A question on boss suffixes. If you run into a boss in your campaign with particularly tough suffixes is the only option to change up your build OR is it also possible to leave the area, and exit the game and when you reload the the boss will change with random suffixes? I had issues with a boss with regenerator although I did change up for more damage and defeated it eventually. Still I'm curious if the suffixes would reset if I left and reloaded the area. Obviously I wouldn't reroll my campaign but returning to the main menu to change a particularly bad combo of suffixes would be fine. Again thanks for the tips!
@wholesomegamer
@wholesomegamer Год назад
Thank you for the feedback! Suffixes are set, so they will not change during a run.
@TheGrouch91

There seem to be some bosses that can change their modifiers. But idk if that is intended. The one I definitely remember was the Defiler. My guess is that because he gets "summoned" during the whole thing his modifiers get rerolled everytime. But as I said I'm not sure that this is intended and might be fixed already.

While switching builds to overcome a boss your stuck on is great and all, It’s a complete pain to have to do, having to go through all of those rings, weapons, weapon mods etc. Makes me really hope we get a load out system soon, so doing that could be as easy as just hitting let’s say two buttons. As far as a tip for the engineers turret goes, I just mostly focus on keeping it in my hands, and constantly keeping it overclocked as much as possible, if it runs out of ammo, I simply put it down, and wait for either overclock to come back, or for it to regen enough ammo where I feel comfortable picking it up and actively using it again, if it is almost about to run out of ammo (the turret) and your holding it, stop shooting it and really try to take advantage of its dodge, (it’s really good) kinda take a break from trying to dmg the boss and play defense until your overclock is ready, basically just try to prolong the amount of time your turret is in your hands, and reduce the downtime (aka the time your turret is out of your hands.) is basically how I tackle playing the engineer. (This strategy works really well, as I’ve been able to consistently solo the final boss multiple times when helping people with him, and gives me allot of confidence when facing him.)
@wholesomegamer
@wholesomegamer Год назад
Yeah Loadouts are hopefully on their way, everybody wants them. Engineer is really great and once you get into a rhythm with the turret/heavy weapon the micromanagement becomes less and less an issue. I like how they designed that archetype.

I played trough the whole Game in apocalyplse and I got anihilation down to 50% in second phase but keep dying. Could you pls share a Build for anihilation in apocalyplse? Or give some tipps/ideas? Keep up the great work - I relay enjoy to watch your videos!

Thank you! Well, for the final boss on apocalypse I tried many different builds. In the end I did it with a build that did not involve any "side-attention" like managing a turret or similar. I build a Hunter/Gunslinger but with a high armor setting. so I could tank 1-2 minor hits and at least one medium hitter. Without the micromanaging and turning off the music I divided my attention on two things: doing damage (which in this setup did not involve stuff that draw my attention) or avoiding damage. And I was hellbound on not mixing these two things together. Either I focused on the attacks to avoid, not trying to squeeze in some shots, or I focused on dealing as much damage as possible to the prominent weakspots.The pattern of the first phase you can get down pretty quick. The second phase deals surprising low damage...it is much more hectic and you eat hits, but here I could take 2-3 hits in a row. The orbs are important to kill quick and very hard to dodge. That worked for me...took me I think 3-4 hours of constant tries. But I really tested at least 4 different setups before settling on the final one.

Once you use it, you should be able to pick it up again, if I’m understanding correctly.

4:18 Not fully true I think .The "Share damage" perk is barely used on apoc. Your summons die to fast . Medic summoner tank exist because of the Resonating Heart relic. It checks your total health (if you full ) , then doubles and gives it back for 15 sec (If I remember right ) . Thing is , it does that for every player/summon in range . With Medic summoner , you dont get YOUR health doubled. You get ENTIRE TEAM health doubled . Basically , resonating heart+ summons combo gives insane healing . With medics , one use can return 3 relics back (if your summon gets hit while its active) .
@wholesomegamer
@wholesomegamer Год назад
I do have seen tank builds combining relic spam (which heals your summons) and so diverting damage becomes a non-issue for the 10% reduction in incoming damage.
@shadowkhan422
@shadowkhan422 Год назад
@@wholesomegamer Eh , there are different builds . Also , depends on the boss . I did Apoc final boss with that combo (and no damage share) and keeping summons alive was barely possible even with constant heal . I was using the tank summon(root elite) and it kept geting one shot on stage 2. No living summon means you dont get Resonating Heart healing buff . Had to swich to flyers just to have 2nd spare to keep it active PS: Im speaking specifically about stage 2 . No idea what it is but my summon kept going from full health to 0 every once in a while
@TheGrouch91
@TheGrouch91 Год назад
@@shadowkhan422Try using the flyers. When one of them dies you will still have one active while the 2nd will start recovering its (shorter) cooldown. Meanwhile when your big boy dies he's gone and the massive cooldown will only start to tick down once he's dead. I used Blood Bond in my last run and it worked great. Definitely usable after they buffed the health of summons twice now.
