Finally. Someone actually understands changes to Ritualist and his skills. Build where you spam miasma and nebula and basically run through map on apac without need to shot anyone because they where dead in a moment you entered area are fun for like 2 minutes. Hope ppl will be forced to actually make builds by themselves and not copy paste everything from a yt. Like putting stuff together to synergize etc. It’s also playing a game, not only shooting everything that’s moving. Sorry spamming miasma because some clickbait dude said on yt video. SUB!
love it baby! yeah miasma needed to be knocked down a notch big time, anything that trivializes apocalypse needs to be looked at. the game is supposed to be hard, not a "press skill button" simulator lol. I think you're supposed to aim at stuff and shoot it in this game or something!!
@@juliansouto947They nerfed the stand out options moderately and buffed the under-performing gear significantly. They've introduced way more build variety and provided incentive to try new playstyles... Great changes all around.
Yeah, Miasma pretty much carried me through all of Apocalypse and getting Devoured Loop was a lot easier than I expected because of it, I'm excited to see how it feels now, it's still gonna be my favorite Skill the game for sure
I’ve been using a build that I think you would love. It’s invoker and summoner with the new ring that decreases cool-downs by 8% on ally deaths (minions), you constantly are able to summon minions, kill then and spam invokers skills. Never even shoot my gun. It’s fun af and I’m sure you can make it a proper build out of it because I’m ass at that
I really love the little quips in the patch notes. You can tell these guys really care about their game and its integrity. We need more studios like Gunfire. Impressive patch
I wish they make like a lycan / werewolf archetype tbh, Imagine one of his skill allow you to turn into werewolf for like 30 sec duration increasing your melee attack dmg , speed , range and increase like dmg reduction , movement speed and add bleeding status to enemy with each melee strike that would be so awesome. It fit so well in the Lossum world too
Misty step? nah..... we blinking now. Love that havoc got buffed. Now apoc feels good with it and I can build it out better. Still love my misty step tho.
Had actually forgotten about this game just saw the DLC come up on my feed, was excited to see if it was worth coming back to but after hearing about all the nerfs, I'll sit out a little longer, give em time to fix the mistakes they made after the fact, like most modern devs.
the primary fire was WAY overtuned. And the mod was lackluster. So primary fire has been dialed back a bit while the mod has been improved. Excited to try it out
Sidewinder rework is interesting. It's a direct nerf to the the true shotswap playstyles because the loss of swap speed is painful. But it actually will feel good outside of quick kills now. It's weird the devs say that Miasma was the only skill people used on Ritualist. People already used Eruption on DOT builds against bosses to maintain the most powerful DOT. Later in the patch we see nerfs across the board to DOT builds from Ahanae Crystal, Singed Ring and ENC so it's gonna feel a lot worse. I hope mod swapper still works after Archon rework. I like the bubble change to make it actually do something for mod gen instead of being just discount Song of Eafir.
These patch notes sound horrible I’m cooked every build I got has been dogged on why are they trying to sneak in grey health buffs tf that finna do ? Some of these patch notes got me raising my eyebrow
AS a Ritualist main that miasma nerf will STING XD but there correct...it was...brutal. I will miss instant room death but here's hoping it will still be fine! I am looking foreword to Evoker! and the, hopefully awesome evoker/ritualist or ritualist/evoker build you may come up with =p post apocalyptic gun wizard time! keep up your amazing coverage of this game! I know I've not said anything on your channel in a bit but your stuff is ever entertaining and SO SO damn useful to players like me. That overall Sparkfire slight buff has me excited ^^ burner boom shoot! was and still is my favorite gun! that and Enigma XD
I dont like how the patch notes sound, but i do have alot of new ideas especially grey health builds getting some more attention. I do like the idea of slow being added to some things to add some more interactions. But i still dont like how most of it sounds.
Fov is such a unnecessary thing tho. Also pve games do not need as much balance changing compared to pvp games. Nerfs hurt the gameplay loop more than they help it and that will never not be a fact as fun is more important than balance in pve games. It is better to buff the weaker options to be more viable than to nerf anything under the pretense of bringing it in line when what needs to happen is the line needs to be brought way up.

Who the hell started this "pve games don't need nerfs" crap? That's literally never been a thing. Show me one example of a well-balanced game using this mentality, or show me a well-respected dev saying this. It's just garbage from entitled gamers who can't stand it when their numbers are lowered. Guess what happens if everything gets buffed? Enemies need to get get buffed, and once that happens, you'll only be able to play with meta builds.

Thanks for the info brother appreciate it 🙏! But im very mad with this 90% nerfs and some buffs ! They destroyed pretty bad all good builds, in my opinion isn't the right way to nerf all viable items and builds, and buff couple things that still be underperforming they could buff more weapons to put in the same level ,the current strongest weapons!! Hopefully we can still have something to play on apocalypse difficult because looks like we all gonna get destroyed by any regular mob!! 😂
Well it’s seemingly got a higher skill ceiling with a bit more reward, so long as you can consistently hit charged shots. Tap shots definitely got hit though!
@@IHaveInsipidus I didnt know that Challenger was meta. I usually used him because i really enjoyed meele and atom splitter. At least im glad they boost that sword because its great

In my experience, I think it makes the enemies' weakspots accessible at all times while flowers are pulsing. Might affect their behavior as well. Haven't done enough thorough testing
That's pretty sick that you can run this game on steam deck, I didn't know that! Do you have all your settings to the lowest they can be? In comparison to DLC1, DLC2 actually runs much smoother and doesn't have the same frame issues in my experience (and from what I've heard from others!)
@@IHaveInsipidus Heres my settings during DLC 1 One True King and i finished the whole story with this settings but sometimes fps are not stable to 60fps when many boss effects and enemy summons and even my character summons since i played summoner arch type... not yet tested and downloaded on dlc 2 hoping that those are also fix Custom Settings Shadow Quality : Low Post Processing : Potato Foliage Quality : Potato Effects Quality : Low View Distance Quality : Potato Detailed shadows off the rest are default
its been a long while since i played remnant 2 but ill consider it based on what is shown in your part 2 video i guess, i just found the game way too stale as time went on as its gamefeel is identocal to every other unreal 5 game :/
Incorrect. There are 7 skills that did way more damage than miasma, and they are not even close. Nuking it was a bad call (and I don't even use ritualist).
And what are those 7? Cause Miasma deals 3k total damage, and has infinite loop with itself if you max out expertise, and use timekeepers ring which would bring it's total damage to 6k damage total for a single button press, with no damage increases elsewhere. Mind you: that's 1 ring, no weakspots hits, and no other sources of damage increase. The only skill that was comparable was Gunslingers and that took a full build to make it deal 6k for weakspots

Instead of buffing other stuff to bring in line with the current strong stuff they basically gutted everything that was strong until now just so they can sell their new archtype locked behind the dlc wich will compensate all the crit issues we have now. gg gunfire, you ruined most of the old mod/crit ranged builds and gave us worse alternatives by "buffing" already bad items. Yeah my hype for the dlc is pretty much gone now. They even nerfed the dmg on worlds edge, the most prestine reward of the game, like common, really? And if the reload speed of Sparkfire wasn`t even long enough, they made it even longer lmao. The list of unjustified nerfs goes on and on. The ppl who balance this game really need a new job. Nothing that people enjoyed playing was left unnerfed.
Gotta say, this is a terrible take. According to the principle designer of remnant 2, 92% of balance changes were net positive, and 8% were nerfs. After thoroughly reviewing said balance changes and making two videos, I can confidently say that that is an accurate assestment. There’s so many powerful interactions in this game. You should probably experiment a bit more with other gear. Also, no chance you just tried to make the argument that they’re paywalling power in this game. You’re tripping.
@@IHaveInsipidusyada yada disagree. A couple new lanes opened sure, but for the most part people will use the same gear with less damage. Just makes the game overall harder imo.
@tmoneygames1 Exaclty, cause a majority that play lack any kind of build diversity. It's a rogue lite, experiment with builds and see what works. Complaining over meta builds is easily one of the silliest things you could do.
The patch is meant to be foundational for future updates. A lot of the meta builds and gear were pretty janky, and you’re upset because you don’t want to change your play style. Understandable.

The meta right now is semi limited on apoc, but knowing this is a smoother foundation for something better is something I can reasonably accept for now. Edit- something I love about this game IS being able to play anyway I want, and it’s been harder to do that recently. I think the corrupted merciless not having any mod power anymore is extreme; just got it a couple weeks ago and now I don’t even like it which is devastating.
They nerfed everything I'm contemplating I want to play the game but at the same time I don't want to play the game cuz there's no point this is probably going to be a trend they're going to nerf everything right before each new DLC the old will get nerfed well the new gets promoted so is there a point to play the game if everything I work hard for to get will just get ruined?
Everything is still strong. I regularly use some of the nerfed interactions and they’re still plenty powerful. And all of the new things they introduced / reworked are incredibly strong
