Beryl's long march across the country honed in on the Northeast Wednesday, causing flooding throughout parts of Vermont. Meanwhile in western New York, a tornado ripped apart a home outside Buffalo with winds that reached 110 miles per hour.

Beryl definitely will go down in the history books! From the Caribbean to the Northeast, she wrecked pure havoc! Prayers from Florida for everyone affected! I know firsthand the stress and anxiety of no power for days after a hurricane! 🙏🏾 🌀 🤯

Here in Houston, we have been without power all Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and now Thursday. We are still waiting for the truck to come and fix our problem. This is not fine. And I'm not very happy to hear how much of the country has been, damaged by this weather system. Blessings to all of you out there. May things get fixed quickly so that you can go with your lives.

@@lauraarzola outstanding. We woke at 3am this morning. Our back fence neighbors chicken coop caught fire. I had to douse the privacy fence so the fire wouldn’t spread until the FD showed up. No one hurt but chickens…and our back fence.

I've been consciously watching the news for decades and I don't recall ever seen a hurricane that went straight up through the entire United States, let alone that started way the hell out in the Atlantic.

NE Ohio was just grazed by Beryl, the bulk of the storm went north of us but those winds were crazy! We had some rain but nothing causing flooding.

Powerwall + solar. Nobody’s taking roadtrips after a hurricane. You either charge up and evacuate beforehand or you hunker down and ride out the storm and the aftermath. Also, just as an aside, gas pumps don’t work without power. That’s why people top off their tanks before the storm hits.

For all surprised at a tornado not in Oklahoma this on stayed on the ground for 20+ miles. The skycam was on top of the hospital. If the tornado turned east 20 seconds sooner that's where it would have hit. It goes both ways! Houston's mayor and most of the city officials, congressional, and state reps are democrats in Houston. A lot of blame falls on previous Houston mayor who spent more money on art & getting his friends business contracts instead of repairing infrastructure problems.
