We have some dark and dingy cabinets in our kitchen. It's pretty easily the biggest eye sore on our property. I had the idea that before painting them we could take the doors off and route a design into them with the CNC table, hopefully dressing them up a little bit. I learned pretty quickly this wasn't going to work, as the first door I tried this on revealed big voids in the wood. But I liked how the design looked, so I decided to buy some new sheets of 3/4" baltic birch, which I knew would be much better for machining, and cut all new cabinet doors for the kitchen. Kelly had the idea of replacing a vent under the sink with a piece with an inlaid design, which she hand drew on her iPad and I cut on the CNC table. Once we had all the new doors hung, we got to work painting. Lastly, we installed new pulls and knobs and finished off the project by installing some LED lighting under the cabinets. We did this project on the cheap, the total cost was around $500, but it really changed how the kitchen looks and turned it into a lot nicer space.

Even your ads are enjoyable to watch. I also liked that you mentioned having a couple G&Ts and then threw Kelly under the bus when hiding "her" liquor

My favorite video in a long time. I enjoyed the humor throughout. The door renovation seems like something that more people would be into if they could see your video. Favorite part was seeing your CAD to CAM process and the cheap vs. premium plywood comparison.

It is crazy to me how you manage family life, a working farm, continuous home/farm renovation and a RU-vid channel that blends storytelling with artisan editing. Great teaching ... I have lived in the City all my life. I always heard the farm folks always had the best food. Homemade bread a few times a week, yummy pies, veggies cooked the right way , and all kinds of juicy meat. Sometime could you do a vid of your wife making supper, or one where you sit down to eat ? Kelly is so out going and has a pretty smile, she would be a big hit ! Maybe even start her own You tube channel ... anyway thanks for your videos ...

This machine is so cool. Reminds my automation course at university. The day we bought the house, I told my husband we need to redo the kitchen. He say “yeah, one day”. It was never on the priority list. Now, with the family busy schedule ...i gave my husband the responsibility to make breakfast to the kids in the morning. I’m in charge of making the lunch boxes. he finally realize the lack of counter space. : ) All my friends wonder why I just don’t hire somebody with my own money and have the kitchen redone years ago? They probably right.Financial speaking it’s not a problem. I will benefit from a new kitchen while I

Why on earth would you CNC mill a pattern which vaguely mimics the way you'd build a kitchen cabinet door if it wasn't CNC milled? You have this machine that gives you endless possibilities in terms of milling, and you use it to show what it can't do...
