Honda's remote start feature can work from up to 400 feet away, but the range may vary depending on the model and the environment. For example, the 2023 CR-V can work from about 100 feet away, while the Civic can work from around 100 feet away if there are no obstructions.
Great video! For the 100 feet radius does the fob need to be pointed at the CRV or can you be in a building without windows to turn the CRV on? Also how many times can I keep turning on the CRV after it shuts off after 10 minutes? I do in person shows with my furry kiddos (2 cats and 2 dogs) and when I’m setting up I like to leave them in the heated or air conditioned automobile but it seems like it only allows me to use the fob twice to turn it on. I can’t seem to do it a third time unless I actually start the CRV. Thanks for the help 🙏🏻🐶🐈⬛
Thanks for the comment! I have tried turning it on from inside a room without windows. However, it is hard to know if the car has turned on or not. So it is always worth to check out the car again. You answered it yourself. 2 times, unless you turn on the car and turn it back off again. I do want to check out your channel and see what kind of production you have!
@@walkaroundnariman thank you for the quick response and thanks for wanting to check out our channel! I agree it is difficult to know if the CRV has turned on without windows. With the HondaLink app is the radius more than 100 feet or is it the same and can you turn the CRV on more than twice with HondaLink or is it the same as the key fob? Just curious to see if the app might be worth purchasing or not. Thanks again for your help!
@Jahnnalee So I am assuming you have 2023 or newer. If it is the Sport Touring I believe you can use the start feature using the app. It is worth it since it is not that expensive.
"The automatic climate control system will begin conditioning the interior to a temperature of 72º F. On days when it's below 40º F outside, it will even engage the heated seats and steering wheel, if equipped, to prepare for your entry." - Says on Honda owner manual. Maybe it wasn't that cold?
I have a 22 CRV and the remote start is useless unless you have everything set the night before. For months like now where it’s cold at night and Warm in evening, if set for AC in evening then heat doesn’t come on with remote start. Not sure if it’s supposed to work like the 2023 but it doesn’t. I also have a 2019 that was the same. That model of CRV is known to take forever to heat up, so again, quite useless.
I am quite surprised you are having this experience. It should be irrelevant to the temperature you set. The car will evaluate the temperature outside and decide what temperature should be in the car when you remote start the engine.
@@walkaroundnariman Are you sure thats not just a feature on the newer models? My 2019 didn’t work that way. I called the dealer as I thought it would auto adjust. Hot defrost with seat warmers in winter and AC in summer based on temp. They told me they “thought” it was based on how you had it set. In my 2022 (same as 2019) it doesn’t either. My wife leaves early every morning. It’s been getting cold. She remote started a few times wns said she forgot to put all the heat on evening before as it was warm when she came home evening before. Maybe it is a problem with mine.
Thanks. Maybe mine works that way. It says it sets the temp to 72. That’s the issue then. When hot outside, that’s not bad. When it’s 8° and windshield is iced up, 72° won’t cut it. Max Hear on defrost is required when it’s that cold. So I guess it depends on your climate because in the winter here, it isn’t helpful. I go out and start it myself and put it on max temp with vents blowing full blast.
@@walkaroundnariman I'm don't think it's the reason. because the headlight on The Accord is on when i do remote start. and many car brand like bmw, audi, mer...do the same.
@@walkaroundnariman Thanks. I have 5 buttons key for CRV 2023 LX and was thinking to go to dealer to see if that works. Don't want to waste money if someone already tried

@@walkaroundnariman I already destroyed my keyboards when I liked a video about MARVEL movies being recreated in MINECRAFT by PEWDIEPIE and KIM KARDASHIAN.
