Fantastic instruction was able to complete this in 25 min. You saved me a lot of hassle and probably a lot of broken panels from your usual vehicle. Precise, clear, very simple to understand and follow.

My husband has a 2013 CADILLAC XTS and had to remove his radio u do not need to remove all those screws you see in this video you only have to remove 4 10mm screws on each side of the console 3 in the front after you take the side panel off 2 are down the side make sure you move the front seats back all back and the third one is at top and 1in the back behind the front seat after you move it all the way forward you will see a little circle on the back part of the console pop off the cap and you will find the screw after you remove all 8 10mm screws you can can move the whole console back to get to the 2 7mm screws and when it comes time to move the ashtray you do not have to remove the 7mm that's under ashtray you can just pull it back and it will come back enough so you get the trim pieces out When its time to remove them so in all you only have to remove 8 10mm screws to move the console back 4 on each side

I like this video because it shows a later model Cadillac and the difficulty in removing the plastic pieces. They can break off when you try to remove them. It shows how to remove the plastic pieces. It would take me at least an hour to take this apart.

Thanks for the video one thing I found easy to remove where the hazard/glove box buttons, I used my pocket knife and pushed out the tabs between stereo on the inside first, then directly on the opposite side I put the blade and popped off easy took 2 minutes total! Again thanks for your video!!

Great job bro. Really. The way you explained it was clear and concise. I actually flew right through it. Something I noticed with the 7mm in that tough spot underneath/inside. If you move ashtray you can get a hand on it once it's alot of the way out. Also get the skinniest 6 inch extension you can find. I had one for a quarter inch drive that I stepped down def made it harder for that screw. Thanks so much for the help

Pro audio guy here with a helpful tip! Follow the tutorial but after removal of side panels stop taking the console apart. It’s easier and faster to unmount the entire console from car. Start this process by removing a total of eight silver 10 mm screws, four on each side. Cordless drill this is a three minute process max. On EACH SIDE you will find one facing at a back angle at front top side. Two at carpet level where console meets floor. Now scoot seats forward and there will be one behind a round cover on the back side of the console, they just pop off to reveal 10 mm bolt.The entire Console will now simply slide back enough for you to remove the ashtray. Pick back up with the tutorial at ashtray removal. This also gives you proper clearance to easily remove the bottom 7 mm of ashtray. Hope this helps and no disrespect to original poster. Thank you Add: no need to remove shifter cable. There is enough slack to complete job.

Did you unplug the usb in the cubby? I just have a hole but I can't seem to find it anywhere and don't remember unplugging it.

Good vid, had to skip through the manually of removing screws, electric ratchet or electric impact, also removing the shifter gives you so much more room and worth the exta 3 min, it has a small shiny cover next to the shifter button, remove cover and you reveal a small metal clip , the clip is annoying to remove because its do flushed. you need two picks to pull it out from the sides just enough where you can get a flat head in and pull it out.. took me about 20 min to remove it not to bad(im a tech)… also thr center console lid i just kept open and didnt have to move seats forward to remove anything behind center console

The two small switches one of them has hazards. Def have to pry inside by console first I found and get it to pop. Wedge something small in there to keep them popped then work on outside

Probably my least favorite radio to work on, and we do like 5/6 of them a month. This is the worst of the Cadillac Que screens to pull but once you do it a few times you can get it out in about 10 minutes

Man, what a nightmare. I'm not looking forward to that when I have to do it. I just bought a '13 XTS. The bottom left of the screen looks like it's starting to show dead so unfortunately I'll probably be doing it sooner than later 🙄.

Youre not removing the radio itself youre just removing the radio display. At least in the newer cars the radio and display are 2 separate units

good video but the fastest way is to remove the whole center console it will take less than 5 minutes to remove it by removing the four 10 mm socket bolt on each side and the four 7 mm socket bolts and pop the shifter cable the the whole thing can be moved back easy

Commentary is not good! Also the snap on trim tools are by far the weakest on the market. Snap on quality is no longer even remotely quality. “ bit driver”
