I've been working with Photoshop since the last year and I must say that thanks to this video, you changed my vision from "Sh*t, I have to select trees again!" to "I cannot wait to select trees again to apply this method". That part when you use gaussian blur to get rid of the defined color in the background is really clever and just blew my mind. Kudos for this!

You can also accomplish the same effect using a color overlay effect (set to screen) taking a sample off the mid tone blue color that was cutout, then add the gradient set to screen as well. Add the curves adjustment layer to match the light and dark. I found this works just as effective as the process you explained. Great videos! you have taught me a lot over the last year! Thanks!

I am just thinking is there anyone out there with better knowledge of Photoshop ? Maybe, in the past, there were more great "guru" like youtubers. But man, you are explaining all logic behind your "brain maps" and image processing problems. And thats great. Keep up great work and great content.

Thank you for another great video and for your so much good work! Hard truth is that you didnt show us a way to remove the fringes but 2 very good ways to hide them and i thank you for that.
I agree with Tony. Your Tutorials are an absolute joy to follow. Suddenly, all begins to make sense. How about a Tutorial on adjusting Night Skies.\/Milkyway. Have seen a few but they seem extremely complicated. Keep going you are great.
