Tend to agree with the overall sentiment. Vertigo and Inferno need a serious overhaul or to be taken out of the pool for a bit. Let's bring back Cache and either Cobblestone or Train!

Cache is probably the most entertaining map for me both as a viewer and as a player. Just love that map. Hope they bring it back.

At the major they should announce the new map pool for after the next major. And change out two maps per season. You know at least one major ahead of time. We have twelve maps to play but we don't see them often enough. Inferno Mirage Nuke Overpass Vertigo Ancient Anubis Dust2 Train Cache Tuscan Cobblestone Start with 7, take out two each season.

-mirage +cache, pug map for another pug map. -overpass +train/something more new that's rather tactical and we're good to go

Train, Cache, Tuscan, Overpass, Nuke, Anubis and ancient is perfect to me as a viewer. Im glad some pros seem to like tuscan too. Its unironically one of my fav maps rn

Realistically something like this imo: Ancient - MAYBE adjustments to limit insta-smokes to elbow from CT side. Anubis (Updated to favor CT side more). This can be done by making splits harder and/or give CT's better holds Nuke - Perfect map for competetive play, super hard to play/learn. Overpass (slightly adjusted in the future) Mirage(rework/update) or Cache Updated/reworked. Train, Slightly tweaked potentially. Dont want cases of being able to smoke both Olof and gap for example with 1 smoke. New Map: Can be Tuscan - Not a fan of the Thera map. Could bring back a former map aswell like Cobblestone (Personal favorite if mine) if they can fix it from the rework. So Basically updates to existing maps and definetly -Vertigo and -Inferno (in the current state, it feels terrible imo).o:

Would love to see 9 map pool. Train and Tuscan as the two new maps. Im not big fan of mirage or inferno, so maybe change them to cache and/or cbble.

I'm not a pro, but I miss the forgotten classics like Aztec, Militia, Office, and Italy.

I wish we could just consistently swap out 1 map after each major so it doesn't get so stale. Mirage, Overpass and Inferno in particular has gotten pretty stale after playing them 500 times.

I have another idea. Put seasonal map pools, or change certain maps according to a certain time period. Example: Mirage, Dust II, Inferno, Nuke and Vertigo as perennial maps; Ancient, Train, Cache, Anubis and Cobble as seasonal maps. You could even let the championships add to the pool new maps like hostage selections or community-mades, or old ones like Aztec and Dust I. It would be way more fun!

I'd love to see a reworked Tuscan as well! Was the home map of my old team and we had such a great time back then. A dream would come true.

I don't think Mirage will ever be reworked, 99.9% of Lvl10s would drop down to lvl 5 lol they would make a riot

Cache before the change, train and cobblestone all need to come back at least for us normal players if they dont want to put them in the competitive pool. We used to have so many maps.

Train has always been my favourite nice to see so many pros give it love.

Almost all the map have some MID actions apart from nuke and inferno, but nuke made up with outdoors which has seen a lot of actions as well. Inferno have big chunk of map but see little actions apart from ct pushing (which CT have no reasons for push) and taking A is very awkward. It happened at tournament when the commentators commented its a 50/50 guess

Cbble, Train, Cache, Inferno, Mirage, Overpass and Nuke was CSGO's golden era. I miss those times.

I feel bad for the inferno update because you see how much work they put into it. But the map was in the pool all the time and some things need at least a change. I'm completely with karrigan here. Update inferno and remove vertigo and put in tuscan.

Great points here. Inferno is a fantastic layout and a great map in general conceptually, but most top tier pros seem to be in agreement that the new version is not very good which is a fair statement. But to remove it would destroy the map pool. It needs some major updates

Firstly, increase the size of the map pool from 7 to 10. Then you can do different stuff with it. Personally: -anubis; inferno (for a rework); ancient when new inferno's out +cache; cbble; train; dust2; Tuscan (one can dream) So final map pool is: Mirage; Nuke; Overpass; Vertigo; Cache; Cbble; Train; Dust2; Tuscan; Inferno when reworked (ancient until then)

I think they should just rotate the maps quicker; maybe swap out one or two per 6 months. Sure it is maybe not great for the pros, but I think for the viewers it would be so nice.

love the tuscan calls because i absolutely would love for it to be in comp pool so it has more players loved that map in source and when it was in csgo for the small amount of time before cs2 i qued the livin shit out of it. plus aint it owned by valve now so why aint it in cs2 gah damnit

The only thing I really hate about CS2 is that the official mappool is for us casuals also very relevant and important because nowadays only the Premier Rank is important and nobody cares about the regular MM anymore. I want Cache back like most of the players but I would also love to play on Train, Cobblestone and I wish Dust2 would come back in the official mappool aswell. Its a shame that the most famous, most balanced and legendary map in gaming history isnt played anymore. But at the same time I obviously also want to see new maps like Tuscan. So Valve actually removes our choice of maps we can play. No one cares about regular MM with the old Ranksystem anymore. So if I want to play on Dust2, it feels like Im playing an unranked game of Dust2 because this rank is not relevant anymore and most people dont even use their mic anymore. By removing the ability to give the players their own choice which map they want to play and make Ranked more competitiv again because Valve hates "One Map only" Players, they also made every single map which is not in the Premier Mappool useless. Even if Valve would add Cobblestone and Train so we could play them on regular MM, people would just not care about that anymore. They would play it a few times and after that they will leave the map for good. This is stupid and boring. This was already a thing I didnt like on Valorant and now I have to deal with this on CS aswell. I personally think that Valve really f*cked up with CS2. I still like the game and without cheaters I would like it even more but this is something I really just dont like about CS2.

Remove Ancient, Anubis, Vertigo, Nuke and Mirage. Put in Tuscan, Cache, Train, Dust 2 and Cobblestone. Re-work Inferno (just go back to the old one).

I am probably the only one who loves inferno blindly. I always loved it from 1.5 till now even tho in the early years of CS:GO it was unplayable. Inferno does not need a rework it needs some buildings to be removed and to open a bit of space on it.

Mirage needs a change specifically on site B it is horrible with apps being terrible to play through as a t maybe adding a latch door or vent so you can climb under pass to ladder would help as once the push is heard on B it’s just smoke Molly and they a cross fire from arches and bench or cat and window hold
