Here's how to manually remove/Uninstall DirectX 12/11 on Windows 10/8/7.
4/23/2023 added for PC gamers only:
1. play your game in the Windows 7 compatibility mode.
2. change Feature level limit option in the DXCpl.exe: select 11.1 in DXCpl.exe.
Hint: check C:\Windows\System32\DXCpl.exe for 64-bit OS and, C:\Windows\SysWOW64\DXCpl.exe for 32-bit Windows. Search your system.

i. Here is a batch file (BETA) that you can use to uninstall DirectX on Windows:

rem Uninstall DirectX
start /wait "Remove DirectX" /remove /noreboot
rem Restart Windows
shutdown /r /t 0
This batch file will uninstall DirectX and then restart your computer. To use it, simply save it as a file with the .bat extension and then double-click on it to run it.

2/4/22 Added: 1) For Windows 11/10 viewers, removing DirectX 12 is not possible. 2) And to disable DirectX from running in your Windows, turn off DirectPlay sub-option in “turn windows features on or off” under Control Panel. 3) For Steam users, enter -dx11 into Set Launch Options sub-tab - this would allow you to re-use DX11.

I have league of legends on pc but after i put hard ssd to my pc the game don't work and tell me that d3dx9_39.dll is missing, i downloaded it and put it in system32 and syswow 64 and it is still not working, i wanted to setup direct x but another error happens "setup cannot download the file please retry later or check your network", if i uninstalled direct x and redownload it, it may work ? please answer me i am so depressed right now :(

Listen dude it's not worth it deleting DirectX 11 first of all there are a lot of good games that use DirectX 11 like rocket league in trackmania and that's what I'm attempting to do just to play a couple of games with DirectX 11 but since I have DirectX 12 none of those games even support DirectX 12 and I can't even do a single thing about it so it's way better if you just have DirectX 11 and you're one of the only lucky people to have it

Bro ive been looking for this fix for so long for rocket league, i reset my pc before and it worked but when i installed lie gta, it said installing directx, and then after that i went to rocket league and it failed.
