Thanks man. This was super helpful. Doing the same to mine because my trim pieces broke and wore out through the years. The OEM ones have an awful coating on them that peeled off after a few years.
Usually battery only needs 3 or 4 minutes after disconnected to discharge all the power but if you didn't want an air bag to accidentally blow into your face then mightve waited for as long as you can.
Man gets his out no problem. I get rounded off torx screws to work with and cant get it out... bought the socket for nothing...now i gotta drill these things off...
I myself undo the battery then turn the lights on so I can remove the airbag right then instead of waiting...never a problem after about 25 or so removed
Juan thanks for the video! i was just trying to do this myself, but that those two T30 screws from left/right side were so damn tight... i couldn't take them out at all. how did yours come off so easily? you didn't seem to need much effort at all to unscrew those...
@@aaronchan9624 im literally tearing the wheel up... i got fustrated and started cutting the rubber on the wheel. I went to home depot for a dremel bit that hopefully drills through the rest of the screw.
@@aaronchan9624 bro... i tore the wheel up to oblivion... Lol Better you had given up than do what I did out of fustration. I stil haven't given the dremel bit this 1 guy told me to buy yet. Im dreading going to my car and trying and failing...But I didnt buy a NRG wheel for nothing.
