Update: the blob will lighten, like losing layers of dark ink. Eventually it will separate to become lines...then again change to tiny dots n that's when u can start to do the tango...

just a warning: it might get worse before it gets better, for me it would get really thick and dark and then thin out to lines, rub it again, large, then even thinner then before

I've been doing this method all day while i do see some improvement the black spot which is about the size of a coin is traveling around my top left corner of the screen... how do i stop it spreading

This is seriously a very good idea. Actually you have to do it even slower, and sit for like 5hours straight. Or else go buy new one

I can't believe it but this actually is working. I am about 30 minutes in working on a 3/4" black spot in the lower corner of my Acer and it is reduced to half the size so far!

Wow.... I did it for continuos 5 hours... And finally removed all 5 spots nd 4 lines... But i used an eraser... Its working well...

But does this work if it's in a 3ds screen? Or just any glass screen at all?

mine is really weird,when it first happened there was one,it was small and I didn't know what it was so I ignored it,then the small one got bigger and another one formed.also its like two blobs and like lines through the middle of them and then there's this black screen thing and it constantly goes white and also some colorful lines. ough, i have a small block on the bottom right of my extra monitor. I didn't even notice it. I don't think I can be bothered to do this for 3-4 hours. I'll settle for a bigger cheap monitor when the time comes.

The people who don't have patience disliked the video😂😂 I've cleared my screen which had 3 black spots as big as in this video. And it takes 4 hrs straight but you need not clear the screen at once. Just do it whenever you have time.

When I did it It slightly worked but when I did it again on the 3rd day it gotten worst and I heard a slight crack. When I looked at it there was now a huge amount of white stuff in my computer at the left corner and vertical lines too. I was panicking so bad and the black spot has gotten worst too I don’t know what to do My LCD screen has just got replaced and it’s getting replaced again.

why is there a black spot? what is the reason? why does the pixels go black?

Thanks for the tip. It worked on my screen. I used a new eraser as opposed to ear buds. I used the edge to wash in a wave over the dark spots and it worked relatively fast. About 5 minutes and the patch was gone.

They are dead pixels you cant just push them away its just going to make it worse

Thank you for this video. Not sure why it got so many dislikes, but it proves that the pixels are in fact still working but there is something going on preventing them from letting the backlight pass through, and I think it has something to do with fluids in the IPS screen. I think heat causes liquids to expand, so maybe a little bit of heat from a hair dryer could help as well? IPS screens cannot exceed 85 degrees celsius though

Guys, just as an additional tip, the same happened to me with my screen, right after doing this I flipped my screen and left the spot on the bottom, it became even smaller! Try it! (This is just a temporal solution cuz it always comes back)

Will wiping the whole screen by smooth towel cause propagation of the black patches ? Kindly answer.

Don’t try this!!!! Initially it will work but after few days the same spot will come again and it would be more worse than before

Dead Pixels occur of lack wattage getting to them, applying presure does nothing to solve it, you're still gonnaget them even if you use this method

I have an iphone se (1) and same problem but it’s been a week now and the spot has shrinked by itself it became partially “transparent” so there is a good amount of good pixels whithin the spot
