When we mix orchestras and metal bands, we often find ourselves in the position of having both sounding great on their own but creating a lot of mud when we join everything.
In this video, I show how we can use dynamic EQ to solve this issue.

This tip was probably one of the best. Thanks for these man. So many people say to craft the orchestra around the guitars in the arrangement, and how its the arrangement that counts when I'm like, no! Fleshgod Apocalypse has low brass, double basses and cellos playing with low guitars! XD!

Thank you! That's what I wanted to address, really. Although I'm a big fan of being mindful of frequencies when writing, the truth is that it is possible to have a full sound with a bit of automation and a side chain here and there. Having strict rules about how we MUST write is not helpful. It is a lot better, in my opinion, to know the techniques and apply them when needed.
