That was a pain in my butt...So glad I have them back in (while uploading this lol) My hair was so dreaded together when I took these out! That's only because I started dreading my real hair as it grew. If you leave your hair grow naturally and NOT twist/dread it like i did, your hair should just come right out and be a little curly for a bit. I also don't think you're technically supposed to wear them as long as I did too lol Gotta start somewhere and mistakes are bound to happen. This time I know exactly what im doing. Dreads are from the wonderful Alice Dreads on Etsy.

Honestly a shaggy modern “mullet” type hairstyle would look really nice on you! I like the blonde as well! Just my opinion!

Ik I loved it too! But keeping bleach blonde (especially since I have naturally dark hair) is super hard for me :c I was a bleach blonde Barbie throughout high school and was literally bleaching my hair every 3 weeks 😭 if I don’t end up keeping dreads over the summer I plan on doing the shaggy mullet lmao

AcidPentagramPizza maybe a cute shadow root would be nice! Then you wouldn’t have to upkeep as often? Whatever you like is best for you of course! Maybe when you get tired of the dreads you can do the mullet? There’s an account on ig, @ celladiggshair that I follow, and she does AHMAZING mullets! If you need inspiration!

Anastasia I wasn’t being a bitch, she said she washed it like seven times and then tried to comb them out, you comb while you have the conditioner in your hair for more slip, I said pro tip: because that’s how I got mine out.

Anytime my hair is confined in dreads or braids, I put a ton of conditioner in my hair after removing them. The conditioner is added before I wash my hair, it helps to untangle & prevents breakage.

I have a bad habit of putting my wet hair up all night and sleeping on it and then when I brush my hair the next day... Jesus. It’s a fuckin mess. And then I’m cursing and tearing up my hair 😭 I don’t know why I do that to myself! But I’m so glad you got it all out and it looks nice and healthy! I live for your dreads! Maybe next time instead of trying to comb out your dreads do a hair mask? After i tease my hair for a Mohawk or something i do that and it's way easier to brush out later.

Here’s a tip instead of using Hair elastics you should use either string like embroidery thread or use small rubber bands that are made for hair and don’t use plastic bands but make sure they are actual rubber

uh actually it depends on the type gauges you use. she uses rubber gauges so they're flexible and comfortable to sleep with. if you used a harder type of gauge you should take them out before going to bed
